I hissed and slept off angrily at 92 mins. Saw Ghannians and South Africans mocking us.
I woke up and saw 4-1..

Truly in football, its not over until the final whistle

Haaland has proven himself in the Norwegian league, Dortmund, Mancity, and his national team. There are no super stars in that Norway national team, yet he score goals.

Some persons thought that once Debryne left Mancity, he'd stop scoring. But he's still scorIng.

So there's no way Osimhen is better than Haaland. No way!
Same way Osimhen proved himself at Nigeria, Lille, Napoli and now Galatasaray. He currently holds the records as the highest goal scorer at the under 17 world cup till date. A popular sports analyst compared both him and Halaand, speed wise, ability to win possession and ball carrying, Osimhen beat Halaand by one or 2 points. It's only the clinical finishing part that Halaand was about 2 points ahead of him. After adding all the points together, Osimhen went ahead of Haaland with 1 point meaning they're both on the same level. They posted both their heat maps in the matches they played so far, Osimhen was all over the place, Haaland was mostly in the opponent's box 18. Even the analyst said a lot of top teams will be kicking themselves for sleeping on him at the transfer window. They said he's not tested, those that wanted to sign him said he should lower has wage demand, they think they're doing him a favour because he's African. How far with the strikers they've bought now?

Don't forget out of Osimhen's 31 goals for Nigeria, 7 was against Sao Tome and Principe.
And when will Osimhen score against the likes of Ghana, Senegal, Cameroun, Ivory coast and co. If not Lesotho, Rwanda, Benin, Sao Tome and co
And Haaland scores against the likes of Estonia, Isreal, Moldova and their likes. Let him play against heavyweights like Spain, Portugal, France make we see how far. Where did Norway reach at the UEFA nations league?

you have failed to give us a breakdown of all Yekini's goals. or we should just trust you that they were all scored against Senegal, Cameron, Ivory coast, Ghana because that is how you feel? i can tell you Yekini got goals from weak teams of that period as well, kenya, congo brazaville, Ethiopia, Sudan, Zaire, Gabon, South Africa(was a weak team immediately post apartheid), Georgia e.t.c

Osimhen has played way less matches though, 37 goals in 62 games, vs 31 goals in 44 games.

People exaggerate nostalgia a lot !

So, if as an Arsenal fan, he says the same thing about Merino or Declan Rice, that means he is trying to claim them as Yoruba?

Ok good, i dont want to google. Let me list the ones i watched Yekini scored not dem say dem say.
Qualifiers to US 94 world cup. Yekini scored against the likes of Algeria, Ivory Coast and South Africa. In the Tunisia 94 nations cup that we won. Yekini scored against Egypt in the first match that ended 2-2. Scored against Gabon in the second match. Scored 2 against Zaire now DR Congo in the quarter final, scored against Ivory Coast in the semi final.
.
In the Senegal 92 nations cup, he scored against the likes of Senegal, Cameroun. Won the highest goalscorer at both Nations cup of 92 and 94.
To add more to Yekini's goalscoring. 50% of his goals came in tournament proper and not qualifiers or friendlies. Osimhen only has one tournament goals which came in last nations cup, so deal with this ones first.
Let me remind you i didnt google o. It"s off hand i gave you so.

Who brought Halaand into this now. Is it not Yekini i am talking about? If you talk about Hallaand then he and Osimhen are stat padding with those small countries. But when it comes to club football, i am saying it without mincing words, Hallaand floors Osimhen.
Re: Nigeria Vs Gabon: 2026 FIFA World Cup Play-off (4 - 1) On 13th November 2025 by EarthKing(m): 7:18am On Nov 14, 2025
You're talking as if VO9 didn't deliver at under 17, Napoli, Galatasaray and Super Eagle too.

For a black man to reach this height, it takes extra drive. Halaand is good. But not better than Osimhen in any ramifications.
Kalulu44:
Shey you're the one or City that helps Halaand score goals at Dortmund, Salzburg and Malmo. Not to talk of currently for Norway. Una just like to dey yarn dust to suit una narratives.
Halaand at Galatasaray will just turn Turkish league upside down with goals. But good a thing he's head above shoulder to that league

I thought you guys said Hallaand is only help bcus he's in City. Halaand not better in any ramifications, so say it finish nah. Is Osimhen better?
Hallaand came 2nd in the balon d'or 2 season ago behind Messi, even the world was saying he was robbed.
Halaand is on course to win balon d'or anytime soon. Can we say that about Osimhen.
Halaand has close to 60 ucl goals playing for Salzburg, Dortmund and City. While Osimhen just scored his 11th or is it 12 ucl goals. Cant you see shoe get size.

Definitely they will be no argument once he holds the records, but i am telling you, you cant compare the quality of teams Yekini scored against with Osimhen.
Another food for thought, most of Yekini goals came in tournaments and competitions.
Osimhen out of his 31 goals, only 1 has been scored in a tournament which is the last nations cup.
I am happy for Osimhen but dont put him in Yekini's bracket

Both of them will still meet at the champions league, we will now put the argument to rest. Personally I believe Osimhen is on par with Halaand.

And you too are myopic in your views. So bcus Ademola Lookman is a Nigeria guy, I should now say he's better than Lamal or Raphinha.
Osimhen is good and plus to Nigeria football, but I won't bcus of that say he's better than Halaand or Kane or Lewandoski or Lautaro Martinez and so many strikers.
Well...at the moment, the records show that he is. So rest.

Plus Victor is a hustler. Haaland is not. Haaland is just another Torres waiting to be thrown in a club like Chelsea where no one feeds him balls to run into. Toss a ball behind Haaland and he is in trouble.

Besides, the fact that Oshimen missed 2 big chances is no big deal.

Every single one of the players you listed have missed numerous sitters in their careers.

So what's the big deal.

Osimhen ended the day with 2 goals in open play. Not just tap in goals.....Goals with finese.

I'm not disputing the goal scoring prowess of Halaand, yea! But Osimhen is also a power house in this striking thing.

Considering where he's coming from, it takes extra drive, determination and focus to be this pronounced.

My point exactly...
