In my previous post, I mentioned that the Army are only throwing their weight behind the young soldier for obvious reasons (if you know, you know), however Wike has handled this terribly and all of this would come back to hurt him. I can't think of any other politician in recent history that has burned their bridges with their colleagues on both sides of the political landscape and has lost every good will and sympathy from the public like Wike has, and it only took him 3 years to do this In just 3 years. Wike has created enemies: 1. In the opposition. 2. In his former political party (he still claims to be a member) 3. In his current political party (he still claims he isn't a member, who knows, who cares) 3. Among everyday Nigerians. 4. In his state of origin. 4. Now he has set his target on creating enemies in the armed forces. It's like he is trying to set a world record for self-destruction. He's lack of education, lack of morals and ethics, poor judgement and lack of critical thinking is "shinning" brighter than the sun, everyone everywhere can clearly see it. During the media parley, Wike said when Obasanjo got the memo, he put a call through to him to resolve his land issue in the FCT, ditto General TY Danjuma. These are former President, former Chief of Army Staff and former minister of defense respectively, yet they went through the appropriate channel without resorting to abusing their military privileges not resorting to physically assaulting officials of Government who are discharging their duties. Much less a retired chief of Naval staff who is less ranked feeling above the law. And even more unfortunate is the fact that some military chiefs giving the impression that being a uniformed man automatically places you above the law.
