Did Wike secure any Court ruling for the planned demolition? I very much doubt it because he never said anything about Court ruling or judgement. In his usual way, he was there to exercise power beyond his mandate in defiance of the rule of law. So your claim that the rule of law lost is just plain laughable. Wike has never been known as a champion on the rule of law despite being a lawyer.

Is not the government that should have gone to court..It is the guy who lay claims to the ownership of the land who should have gone to court to obtain an order restraining FCDA officials from from revoking or doing anything with the land. Land all over Nigeria belongs to the government and you don't go to court to possess what rightfully belongs to you.

The current pain that is being rigorously meted out to us are partly actions and inaction of past civilian administrations. We have suffered in the hand of both military and civilian governments before and we'll continue to suffer.

Executive can have enforcement committee or agencies. Those enforcement committees are usually uniformed - like police force, FRSC, NDLEA. These powers are derived from legislation and judiciary. Not a governor or minister using force. It ought to be institution based. Institutions are bigger than one person!

Long story short, the executive enforces laws. FCTA headed by Wike enforces laws.
