For you who had been blaming the referee, the referee lacked the boldness to award that penalty against Nigeria.

That was a stonewall penalty.

SE got away with a blue murder
Nah because of the intimidation for the protest we do against de referee,so him come dey fear.
If no be the protest wey we mount, him for don give the PK

My dream that DR congo will beat cameroon by a lone goal came to pass. Waiting to dream about Nigeria vs DR Congo
Yeah I saw it up there where you said it.
I wondered if it escaped many because no one seems to pay attention.
But let's know what, if Nigeria get hope of qualifying.
May you have a favourable dreams for Nigeria this time

Definitely they will be no argument once he holds the records, but i am telling you, you cant compare the quality of teams Yekini scored against with Osimhen.
Another food for thought, most of Yekini goals came in tournaments and competitions.
Osimhen out of his 31 goals, only 1 has been scored in a tournament which is the last nations cup.
I am happy for Osimhen but dont put him in Yekini's bracket
osimhen opponents are tougher now then before eg you can't compare that benin and Burkina Faso for now to their 1980/90 counterparts

Ok good, i dont want to google. Let me list the ones i watched Yekini scored not dem say dem say.
Qualifiers to US 94 world cup. Yekini scored against the likes of Algeria, Ivory Coast and South Africa. In the Tunisia 94 nations cup that we won. Yekini scored against Egypt in the first match that ended 2-2. Scored against Gabon in the second match. Scored 2 against Zaire now DR Congo in the quarter final, scored against Ivory Coast in the semi final.
.
In the Senegal 92 nations cup, he scored against the likes of Senegal, Cameroun. Won the highest goalscorer at both Nations cup of 92 and 94.
To add more to Yekini's goalscoring. 50% of his goals came in tournament proper and not qualifiers or friendlies. Osimhen only has one tournament goals which came in last nations cup, so deal with this ones first.
Let me remind you i didnt google o. It"s off hand i gave you so.
There is no where it is written that goals scored in qualifiers is less weighted than tourney goals. Osimhen 3 goals against Benin republic in a must win 4-0 game is more important than a dead rubber tourney goal. Osimhen is 26 yrs, the same stage Rashidi was in 1989 as well. Osimhen will have more nations cup and world cup to play along the line. I probably watched more Yekini goals at the period it was scored than you, if you can only start from 1994. All things being equal, he will surely surpass Yekini's record as he is primed to do that and looks set for greater glory . What was the big deal about Zaire in the 90's or Gabon, or even south Africa or Kenya . Osimhen is even playing amongst a weaker team in my opinion than Yekini had.

Lolz! I don't have anything to say to you again since you said there's nothing in tournament goals. If Osimhen have scored maybe one or two goals against Ivory Coast in the last Afcon finals, maybe he would have been an African champion by now.
And for the last time, I am not underestimating Osimhen at all. In fact he's out best for now. But you guys should take it easy with the hyping

Honestly you must be joking, which opponents are tougher now. Nowadays that they have used sports science and technology to spoil the beautiful game.
Back then it's men that played football not now that it's kids everywhere.
Is it not now that you will hear a 17, 18yr old are making national team. Back then if you're not up to 25 and above, nothing for you.
And lastly, I last enjoyed proper African cup of nations back in 1990s till late 2000s.
All this ones they're playing now are rubbish to me.
Now to round off all my opinion, Osimhen is a great guy and our best player at the moment, but you guys should take it easy with the overhype

I'm not disputing the goal scoring prowess of Halaand, yea! But Osimhen is also a power house in this striking thing.

Considering where he's coming from, it takes extra drive, determination and focus to be this pronounced.

My point exactly...
Now you're saying what I want to hear. Osimhen is up there with them Halaand and co. But they're still better than him.
Kudos to Osimhen too for his relentless drive to succeed.

EMIOMOADEOYE:
Well...at the moment, the records show that he is. So rest.

Plus Victor is a hustler. Haaland is not. Haaland is just another Torres waiting to be thrown in a club like Chelsea where no one feeds him balls to run into. Toss a ball behind Haaland and he is in trouble.

Besides, the fact that Oshimen missed 2 big chances is no big deal.

Every single one of the players you listed have missed numerous sitters in their careers.

So what's the big deal.

Osimhen ended the day with 2 goals in open play. Not just tap in goals.....Goals with finese.
Who's talking about missing of goals here. Who doesn't know anybody can miss a goal.
I'm talking about confirm strikers with consistency level and you're talking another thing.
Lautaro has been consistent for Inter for the past 7yrs he's been there. same with Halaand since 2019, he hasn't slowed down for one season. Or is it Mbappe, Lewandoski even at his old age or Harry Kane. This are elite and consistent strikers but you guys always wants to overhype Osimhen to say he's better than them. Osimhen is good, in fact very good no doubt about that. But he still has his seniors in striking levels

Oshimen hasn't?

Bro, go peruse the stats again.

Read what I said again. On paper, stat for stat...Oshimen is better.

Infact, you'll notice that many times he outdid Haaland in less matches.

I did not compare him to Lewandowski....they are not in the same generation.

Lolz! Halaand is the highest goalscorer twice in the last 3 seasons in epl and is on course to win this year's own. So which stats are you saying Osimhen has more than him. Or is it in the ucl, pls tell me?

Oshimen was also the highest goal scorer in the Turkish league last season
Oshimen was also Serie A highest goal scorer in 2022/23 Season.

2 different leagues by the way.

Exactly 2 seasons out of the last 3.

The only reason Osimhen is not in the epl is because of people ....like you....who deny Legendary when they see it.

Lolz! Halaand has won highest goalscorer both in Austria and Germany before coming to England. In ucl he has been banging goals even when at Salzburg before coming to big clubs. See like I said, Osimhen is good in fact very good. But shoe get size.
