When I served, our first orientation was to stay away from students. I sabi coordinate myself well well in the face of female temptations. What I dont want, I dont want.

I served and stayed away from both female students o, corpers o, community girls o.

I just faced what I came to do and left.

I cant imagine getting in trouble related to sexual misconduct.. and how will my parent will feel about it? I grew up in devout christain home, so I always weigh the pros and cons of every actions as a youngie. I cant be the one to bring shame to my familly.

But truthfully, those women are only doing devils bidding. These students will boldly make suggestive comments and moves that will have you thinking you gotto take your chances and smash. A fellow male corper told me an Ss2 student that he was giving private lectures was disturbing him for my number...that she go like friend that uncle. Mind you, her papà na captain o...cos I served in the barrack. Not only her cos I was receiving strange calls from girls with young voices. I kept cutting as soon as they ask "what is your name" lol

The temptions plenty to talk.. but then, I heard some corpers were humping most of them. None of my biz anyway. I did what brought me there and left on the night of our POP

Na joke o..... I served in an all girls secondary school also back then in Enugu and I know what my eyes saw but thank God for good upbringing. I faced what brought me there and left immediately after POP.

NYSC should be investigating and they need to do better about all NYSC corpers signing a code of conduct paper before signing out. So they understand what is acceptable, legal and or its repercussions. We can’t have NYSC dispersing predators on kids in secondary school.

Knack knack. Some people are so obsessed with knacks, they would knack anybody and that includes underage kids. This one no be cruise. He would do it without a thought even if she was in junior classes, the punishment for having boobs and bum. Having the thought is wrong, but how stewwpid can you be to even express it loud? Bosses sleep with their subordinates.
Business owners sleep with their apprentices.
Hotel managers and owners sleep with their receptionist.

Society frowns at all these but no where is it written that it is illegal. So far it was done with consent then there is no issue.
In the case of this Corp member, so far the second party is above 18 and the sex was done with consent then you shouldn't be bothered. The Child’s Rights Act (CRA) 2003 defines a “child” as someone under 18, and prohibits many actions with people under this age.

There is also the moral angle ... A student is placed under the teacher's care and as such the teacher shouldn't be violating that. Ditto why doctors enter trouble when they sleep with their patients.

The ethics of the education profession requires that the relationship between a student and a teacher should be strictly professional. In some climes, you can't even call them on mobile, add them on Facebook, etc. They are not your friends, they are your students.

If any relationship has to occur, it has to be after the teacher-student relationship has ceased.

It’s really nothing new. It happens but nobody talks about it. In some cases, it’s the females that throws themselves on the corpers. Some even recruit their fellow students. It’s been on for ages and isn’t bound to stop anytime soon.

Some guys are irredeemable and don't know where to draw the line. They lack every modicum of self discipline.

It's a normal thing for these girls to cherish your presence and hold you in high esteem due to their naivety. It's left for you the matured one to put yourself in check and not let it get to your head.

During our time, these girls had regard for us in the name of we are corps members and they respected the uniform. Was walking in the street one day and one jumped at me with so much joy.

Guys, don't act recklessly towards these girls irrespective of their body maturity. Our actions and inactions have consequences. Can you stand it if someone had done that your sister?

The retraction should be done after he's been punished. That's how a serving minister openly called a soldier a fxxl on national TV and still went on the same national audience to deny it. They only retract or deny when there is heavy dust. If they didn't call them out their statements will fly unhindered.
