Very lame excuse.does the slaps on the teacher justify whatever he did to your child? The one that pained me to my bone marrow was the mother slapping the teacher. Chai if na me dead body go surplus I swear.

immortalcrown:It's easy to know that the parents are shameless pathological liars. If the child has truly been subjected to sustained bullying for months, why is it not contained in their statement how they had approached the school or complained to the school authorities before now? From the conduct of the parents, it's crystal clear that they are touts, and their child couldn't have been any better behaved. Imagine the woman joining to slap the teacher, after her husband had slapped the man repeatedly. Very useless family. |

No one has any right to beat another person's child, especially not the teacher. You either report the child misconduct to the parents, to discipline their child by themselves. If you as a teacher raise a hand on my child, I will come for you with everything I got. I pay you money to teach my child knowledge, not to beat them. If you can't handle children without beating them, then you are no fit to be a teacher. You can beat your own children the way you like, don't beat mine! |
| Re: Abuja Parents Who Slapped Teacher Release Statement by drimzsmoke(m): 5:28pm On Nov 16, 2025 |
immortalcrown:From the teacher's account, there was no such history of multiple slaps prior to that day. Hence, it's not rocket science to know the parents are lying here. There's no point in the teacher lying about the number of times the child has been slapped since the child is not a toddler who can't speak |

Slap am well,Our Teachers are truly selfish. They beat student onto the fact that government don't take good care of them. They Transfer their frustration on student with the false excuse that a child is misbehaving.Take example on the higher institution lecturers who behave as mini gods.Nigerian are just selfish looking for an excuse to ditch their frustrations.I personally as an adult looked back to my childhood and saw it was sheer wickedness. They make it look like you are wrong then but the beating is always worse than the child offence.Let us all Speak the truth about our beatings when we were in primary school. Are they justified. At that time we won't understand because we were children but only growing into adult and realising it was sheer wickedness. |

When a teacher who is supposed to care for his/her students remembers that Nigeria is seriously f*cked up, he/she can easily transfer unnecessary aggression on the students. Also the kind of students that we have nowadays are not desame as the ones we have in the 90’s, they can easily provoke you to loose your calm as a teacher. I really don’t know who failed Nigerians, the leaders or the citizens but everybody should just learn to not transfer unnecessary aggression on each other, Nigeria is bleeped up already and that should not make the citizens less human. Instead of slapping your student repeatedly, what happens to flogging such, reporting such to the school authorities or even the guardian? I don’t support nonsense, there are better ways to deal with a student than giving such a slap. |

It was not the first time the child was being bullied, did you report to the school management? If you did and nothing was done about it, why not take legal means to address it ? |
| Re: Abuja Parents Who Slapped Teacher Release Statement by Kobicove(m): 5:32pm On Nov 16, 2025 |
See threats...and what if they don't remove the videos from the Internet what will you do? The video is a true representation of what happened therefore these threats of legal action are nonsensical |

Vitch:Then set up your own school at home. That’s a private school and the teacher should be earning averagely. You never addressed the fact about how kids without basic manners and etiquettes are handed off to teachers to manage. Did the teacher just pounce on only him a class out of jealousy? What warranted the student to push the teacher? That was never narrated cos it’s not pleasing to the ears. |

The issue has to be looked into very well to determine what was really wrong with the student and the teacher. But what we are saying is that even though for me it's not good to slap students it is also not good for parents to engage in assault and battery which is criminal. Two wrongs don't make a right. Abi? How do we see the matter? |
| Re: Abuja Parents Who Slapped Teacher Release Statement by MrPaul2: 5:39pm On Nov 16, 2025 |
immortalcrown:The parents are not telling the truth, the child is not properly raised, you can tell from the parents behavior. For the principal to be recording while the go was going should give you a clue that they came to beat the teacher up, because they feel nothing will happen. Can't you see the threats to the school management? Meaning "School Management can't expel my child from that school". Impunity |
| Re: Abuja Parents Who Slapped Teacher Release Statement by Oo0Oo0Oo0: 5:39pm On Nov 16, 2025 |
One Gen-Z mother up there said a teacher dares not beat her child in order to correct the child, but rather report to the parents. Well, if I were your child's teacher, I will do neither. It's not my duty to report your almighty child to you. |

| Re: Abuja Parents Who Slapped Teacher Release Statement by kingthreat(m): 5:40pm On Nov 16, 2025 |
In this life, never be weak. If the teacher was at least well-built or eating well, the parent will think twice than to lay their hands on him. They'll rather pay the police to do that. And the teacher was just there standing taking slaps like he was 100% guilty. Maybe he was guilty and he took it as the consequence. |

| Re: Abuja Parents Who Slapped Teacher Release Statement by Aprocco: 5:43pm On Nov 16, 2025 |
With parents as this, you can understand why their child would be so unruly. Rather than prepare to defend themselves in court for assault and battery, they are releasing statements making demands. Hear them: " The principal rather than intervne to restore order" what's wrong with adults using their brains. Like the woman intervening to stop her unhinged husband. Like reporting the matter to school authorities or police. Sowore or VDM should please take this up. |

butterfly55:It's better for you to open your own school for your children at home. You cannot send badly behaved children to school where they will go and act as negative influence on other kids then expect the teachers not to discipline them! |

whatmoreng:There's no excuse or justification for the teacher to physically or even psychologically assault the pupil.... He went beyond his job description. I can incapacitate any teacher who assault my child in school I swear down! Most teachers who do this to children are depressed and are just transferring their aggression to helpless children. If it's even on poor academic performance then it is either the teacher lack the skill to teach or the child lack the capacity to learn and slapping him or her wouldn't change that. If he slap the child and he dies from that will be telling the parents that story story .... That's why a make that a very point of note to every school I enroll my guardians.... Abeg abeg Proprietor or head teach don't punish my children for whatever reason if cannot be guaranteed please let me take my wahala dey go now because for every slap I'll give 4 slaps back if I can do it inside the school I'll pay thugs to help me do it stand to claim responsibility..... Teach and go your way after all the reward of a teacher is in heaven abi no be so e be tay Tay and if you don't like that don't take the job kawai ![]() |

"They stated that it was the teacher’s arrogant justification and their fierce parental love that forced them to descend on the teacher with sl@ps." If not for video proof, that's how they would have lied on the teacher. There was nothing arrogant about the teacher's demeanor while narrating the incident. In fact, he seemed scared and timid, and that was what gave those two the balls to assault and humiliate him the way they did. |
