The parents are sense less. The legal matter is meaningless. If you cannot mention the name of the parent that this release is useless

In all of your submission, you did not mention your child's rude behaviour.. I do not support capital punishment for pupils, I think Nigerian schools should adopt the Detention style used in western schools, where they are dedicated masters that handle discipline for rude kids and no parent would cry of maltreatment..

No matter what your child might have told you, You have no right to assault a teacher.

There are established channels for venting such complaints.

A child that you refused to train at home and refused a teacher from training would be trained for you by outsiders.. it's only a question of time.
I remember being victimizwd by a particular teacher in primary 5 too
And it was obviously because of frustration with his life
Dont be so quick to nlame the student or parents

A lawyer that was not at the scene of crime is the one issuing intimidating statement on behalf of the so called parents.

Hmmm if any teacher has assaulted my child to the point they have an headache, there will be conversations. Serious ones. Will I slap the teacher, I doubt it. But there will be a case.

is that a joke? Another person's child u want to slap oo not ur own? I've been a teacher briefly and I can't even dream of slapping my students. When I not crazy.

what tolerance are u exhausting that the next thing is slap for another person's child?
Did any of your students have the boldness to push you in class?

If any of your students disrespects you in such a manner and you tolerate it just be sure that the other students will start doing the same thing because they think they can get away with it

Why my brother go touch my child? No teacher whatsoever has any right to hit a student placed under their care. Simple! If a child provokes you, walk away and report.
If any teacher touches my kid, im definitely going after them

Please don't tell me you believe that rubbish about the student having headaches as a result of beating from the teacher, it's the normal lie people tell when they want to use emotions to sway a case in their favour.

It's somewhat similar to a situation where a landlord forcefully ejects a tenant who has been owing a rent of 500k for 2 years; the next thing you hear is that the tenant will claim he has 1.5 million in a box in his room which got stolen during the forced ejection

Mess with you? Are you a teacher? Take your frustrations else where. Nobody forced you to teach for peanuts.
If you touch my child as a teacher, you surely regret the day you decided to become a teacher.

Frustrated teacher

Most of those teachers are demons. They are frustrated!

And the principal recording the incident and posting same online is so unprofessional.
So the principal is unprofessional now. But the tout husband and wife are professional. Sometimes I just ask myself how truly is the saying that Nigerians are one of the wise people on earth.

Go and do teaching for a trial period of 6 months and see how easy it is to practicalise this rubbish you're preaching

It is the parents who decided to do tag-team to beat up a lone individual that can be said to be truly frustrated!

There's no excuse or justification for the teacher to physically or even psychologically assault the pupil.... He went beyond his job description.

I can incapacitate any teacher who assault my child in school I swear down! Most teachers who do this to children are depressed and are just transferring their aggression to helpless children.

If it's even on poor academic performance then it is either the teacher lack the skill to teach or the child lack the capacity to learn and slapping him or her wouldn't change that.

If he slap the child and he dies from that will be telling the parents that story story .... That's why a make that a very point of note to every school I enroll my guardians.... Abeg abeg Proprietor or head teach don't punish my children for whatever reason if cannot be guaranteed please let me take my wahala dey go now because for every slap I'll give 4 slaps back if I can do it inside the school I'll pay thugs to help me do it stand to claim responsibility..... Teach and go your way after all the reward of a teacher is in heaven abi no be so e be tay Tay and if you don't like that don't take the job kawai grin
You have evidence that he slapped the child? At least we have evidence that the parents assaulted the teacher

The parents also mentioned that the principal of the school was all about filming them. They stated that it was the teacher’s arrogant justification and their fierce parental love that forced them to descend on the teacher with sl@ps.
They argue that instead of intervening to restore order, the Principal shamelessly continued recording and later uploaded the footage to social media.

see how the parents are defending the assault on the teacher. Lets even assume that the teacher was so so wrong. Does that justify the above statement?
Re: Abuja Parents Who Slapped Teacher Release Statement by Vicana: 7:00pm On Nov 16, 2025
Trust social media, the face of the child will soon be gotten and saved in the social media space and the child will grow and be remembered of this incident.
What ever the child will become in future, social media will never forget.

Definitely written by a poor lawyer too. These parents are just breeding future nuisance to the world. No training at home, not allowed to be trained at school too.

This is just a defensive step against their wrong action seen in the viral video . If that teacher was rude as they claim, he wouldn’t accept those slaps like a sheep before the slaughter.

Very lame excuse.does the slaps on the teacher justify whatever he did to your child?
The one that pained me to my bone marrow was the mother slapping the teacher.
Chai if na me dead body go surplus I swear.
so you are in support of the teacher slapping the child? Is physical violence the only way to teach? if you wanted your child to be beaten up, why not send your child to a boxing ring for training? Is the teacher a gladiator? Are there no superiors the teacher can report the child to?

You and a bunch of nairaland users that they beat shege comot dia bodi wen una small, are you not still constituting nuisiance on the internet?

To hell with that "This is Africa" quote. It is why the rest of the world will continue to look down on you because you behave like animals and justify jungle behaviour.

There are other ways to correct a child that does not involve physical violence. I know you do not know it because you were brought up with the mindset that violence and murder is the only solution to all your problems.

It's like the parents don't know the meaning of viral video. Video that has been stored in countless devices by now, how is the school supposed to retract it?
Lmao. The parents spoiled the case by being the aggressor caught with video evidence. They should be the ones recording audio and possibly video footage of the day they went to complain about abuse on their child and take it to ministry of education.
Re: Abuja Parents Who Slapped Teacher Release Statement by cyprex: 7:25pm On Nov 16, 2025
You expect the principal to intervene and restore order after you betrayed every orderliness.

Not parental love but violent instinct can drive a couple "both husband and wife" to jointly abuse a teacher who dared to help them train their "untrained" child.

Can the teacher not train this untrained child without resorting to physical violence? Did the parents send their child to a school or a gladiator's arena?
