I live in Lagos and having kids outside marriage is a normal thing in Lagos

How many Yoruba couples are properly married tradition and registry?

Let's say the truth
Having kids outside marriage is NOT a normalized thing in Lagos because it's frowned upon in the culture of the Yoruba folks of the different subgroups (Awori, Ijebu, Egba, Ijesa, Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo, Ilaje, Ketu) despite the fact that some do it which MUST NOT be encouraged in order to have a cohesive family structure within the society. In the event that couples can NO longer stay together due to irreconcilable differences, then co-parenting can come in. The same Lagos State you are talking about has a powerful, no-nonsense Family and Domestic Violence Division with Mrs Vivour-Adeniyi overseeing that organization in order to ensure that families stay cohesive.

The rest of your post [starting from the last paragraph] is highly disrespectful to over 70 million folks of Yoruba descent around the world BECAUSE a lot of marriages involving Yoruba couples spread around the world are properly married traditional and legally. Yorubas don't tolerate children out of wedlock culturally. Is that too difficult for you to understand? Statistically Yorubas marry one another and 9 out of 10 Yoruba men marry Yoruba women. The remaining 1 out of 10 Yoruba men marry women from other cultures or countries based off of the change of names in the classified ads pages.

I had to reply you here and now to put to a FULL STOP to your sweeping generalizations and beer parlor tales here. You don't use the examples of a few Yorubas to make sweeping generalizations about other Yorubas of over 70 million.

If her daughter was a house help somewhere in Oshodi, would she complain that her daughter does not want to see her?

Mothers are Mothers.....let her go and reconcile with her mom. It benefits her more in the long run
Is she her mom or a gold digger? She would always feel some wariness around her mother.

Then the mother should come out and debunk it! It is that simple.

The things I saw in Yoruba land how they abandon parents to be living in ghetto.

How they disrespect their parents.
The thing dey really shock me

One of my barber jide told me he has kid but is not married. I ask how ??

He said baby mamas is a normal thing in Yoruba.

They born throway their kids to be hustling
Mother always fighting with sons
Daughters with teenage pregnancy

The level of dysfunctional homes in SWest is very very high. It's really sad
That is how you send wrong narrative, where you came from no dysfunctional homes, abi.....but half of your population decided to stay in SW.

What's this stupid blackmail about? She's alleged to be a bad a wicked parent who threw her out at age 12. Who throws a girl child out at that age? She was raped and molested, you weren't bothered. How she survived, you weren't bothered, now, you claimed you were running around to make her win BBN and you were not given a special invitation. What a mother!

You threw your daughter out at age 12 but systematically telling the whole World you are homeless and showing the whole World where you live. Shame!
You threw a child out to be molested but telling the Whole World that the girl is the one abandoning you. What a mother!
Story like this always comes when fame become reality. The past grievances surface. The winner will not know that without that action or inaction of her parents she won't reach the level she is now.

Secondly why every woman that reach Fame in life always claimed to be raped or sexually molested at her younger age. This has become a pattern of the sorry story from grass to grace narrative. Nawaoo

The mother didn't debunk any of these allegations. She said she knows she's a bad mother but she was running around Ebute meta to help her to canvas votes to win BBN. This implies she's claiming to have rectified her mistake of throwing her out and exposed her to rapists.
Why crying and blackmailing her online online pretending to be the victim?

The latest BBN winner. Thrown out by mother at age 12, molested and raped where she took solace and the mother was not bothered about her even up to date. She now heard she's winning BBN, claimed she went to help her to canvas votes but not given an invitation to attend final.
She's now online crying that she's homeless and abandoned by daughter. She's portraying herself as the victim now to the public.

The mother didn't debunk it. She said she knows she is a bad mother but she ran around Ebute meta to canvas bbn votes for her. If the girl lied, the first thing the mother should have done was to debunk the allegations.

Hmmn....Very terrible of her mom. Now she wants to celebrate with her and act like nothing happened. Do you know the reason why she was kicked out of the house?
Are you serious? Is there any justify reason to kick a 12 years old out?

Where is her dad in all these? Is he still alive? Anyways absentee parents hope you're watching. Gen z not send anybody mama o, not even theirs. It's the older generations that are emotionally blackmailed to be there for parents who were not there for them. These newer generations go treat your eff-ups o. If you like, stay there and say my children will come and look for me when they're grown, Na OYO you go dey o

Embrace your mother while she is still alive dear Imisi, a mother's demise is the wort pain one can feel, the pain is practically persistent and weighs down your heart for like forever. I'm talking from experience.

I have no pity for this woman. She is just a gold digger. That said, i know the pain Imisi feels but its by God's grace she is where she is today. She can show forgiveness and teach her mum how to be a good person.

Go and read well, She threw her daughter out at age 12. She was sleeping on the streets where she was raped, the mother was not bothered. Now, she's concerned about her suddenly became she won BBN and wants a share of the money.
She abandoned Imisi since age 12, not vice versa, why is she blackmailing Imisi online now for abandoning her when she's the actually the one that abandoned Imisi since age 12?
What sort of mother is this?
Pepperdemisback:
She's a witch and a blackmailer. I read where she said she knows she's a bad mother. People said a lot of horrible things she did to the her daughter until she threw her out at age 12 and exposed her to rapists. Which mother does that? Why crying online and blackmailing her daughter now pretending to be the victim? This is the behavior of a witch.
She has abandoned her since, why not leave her alone?
Your own too much on this topic.
Who throws 12 years old out of the house? You can't throw out 12 years old for any reason. Stop for a second and ask yourself few questions. It is about common sense. Sounds more like she ran out of the house.

Yorubas have suffered from your hand, this is see finish.
If dysfunctional homes in SW is very high, I wonder why baby factories with minors and teenagers is ever flourishing in your region.

If your parents kicked you out when you were 12 and you got raped and abused while being homeless, maybe the elders can resolve the rift between you and them.

I hope you know I did not insult you in any way.

You have every right to your opinion. What you even said is closer to what the Bible would urge than what I said.

If you're an atheist and feel offended by the Bible verse, I apologise. Had I known, I would have not have included it.
