He is not a 3 star general, rather 1 star. You don't refer to the stars on their shoulder of chest like that.
Irrespective, a top military officer has been killed by the enemy.
Re: Brigadier General Uba Killed By ISWAP by OBAJESU: 9:01pm On Nov 17, 2025
How could they trace him?? Who else can't they trace?

Investigations should be promptly carried out......CHECK ESPECIALLY THOSE PEOPLE (even his superiors) THAT HE SPOKE TO LAST ,AND THOSE THAT RECEIVED HIS CALL FOR AERIAL SUPPORT.

Prayers and heartfelt condolences to his children and wife: YOUR DADDY DIED A GOOD WARRIOR!

Bolded. President Tinubu to move in resources to Crush the perpetrators?

The perpetrators are fighting for a Nigeria to be governed with Sharia criminal laws, the same laws unilaterally adopted by the political and religious leaders in the 12 far .noryh states of Nigeria.

If Tinubu moves soldiers and resources to crush the perpetrators of the killings in the north, the sharia states will move against Tinubu.
Where did you see the video pls? Can you share

Your research isn't deep enough. Find out if they send their graduates to fight bandits and terrorists.

Define Israel's case as one that draws everybody in.
It is called MANDATORY military service upon turning 18. Nigeria can convert NYSC to such instead of making youths serve the nation twice. It’s more logical the way I put it.

I really hope to hear the the army uses this to act decisively ! His death cannot be futile!!! It is a big shame that a General was captured and no rescue attempt was made

A whole brigadia General a 3 star General can't be easily captured like that unless he was sold out to the terrorist but never, this is a big slap to the Nigeria Millitary. If I may ask, what's a 3 star general doing in war front ?
He is in the war front because his lieutenants are guarding uncompleted illegal building project of failed past real admiral in Abuja grin and most of the low IQ people in Nigeria are hailing his likes for "humiliating" Wike. Dem think say dem dey do Wike not knowing say dem dey do demsef grin

Rest in peace to a real Brigadier General who paid the ultimate price of service to the country and it shall never be in vain.

NYSC wasn't introduced to fight insecurity at first.

Mandatory millitary service equally violates all human right corolaries.

Shortage of personnel could also occasion such but not for subjects bothering regional insecurity... It is a national scheme to forster unity. One for all graduates not exactly millitary wanna-bes.

We don't pray the insecurity becomes a full scale national issue.

Who says we don't have enough millitary strength to combat all of these?

Nigerian soldiers are clueless. It's only Eastern security network will challenge and defeat boko boys.

koning:
"Following an intense exchange of gunfire, the sudden surge in terrorist numbers forced the commander to order a tactical withdrawal and issue a distress call for air support."

How in the world does the terrorists outnumber the soldiers? Is Nigeria fighting any other war?

An entire battalion should be sent to fight these terrorists not a handful of soldiers. Not to mention that the soldiers have support from the air.

What the hell is going on?
1000 solders makes up a battalion, we need up to 3 divisions that is about 60 thousand soldiers.
Re: Brigadier General Uba Killed By ISWAP by Omotaday(m): 9:31pm On Nov 17, 2025
If the chat screenshot going around is genuine then this is more of an operational failure rather than a sabotage.

The terrorist must have seen the chopper circling the area and found him first.

Or chopper aborted evacuation last second due to the ground hostility by the terrorists.

Sad situation

So the countries I mentioned are not a democracy and don’t have human right?

It is feasible and best action for the government. Our land mass is enormous and compared to our security forces, winning a gorilla warfare is impossible.

The US and Russia did in Afghanistan and lost, that was after the US lost over 2000 soldiers.

I get disturbed when enemies capture soldiers. An officer is expected to posses something handy such that when it gets to a head, you die with your enemies. A grenade or pistol in hand should prevent the ugly spectacle of being a captive in enemy camp. A soldier should always die an honorable death - die fighting your enemy

It is really sad to hear the news of the Brigadier General assassination...

My heart felt condolence to the Nigerian Armed Forces, family and friends of the slain personnel...

These terrorists are desperately working as though they have no more time... hitting targets that hurts the public...

Until we begin to take down those sponsoring these terrorists... who live in glass houses... these terrorism battle would look as though it were endless... But it will and must end soon... RENAISSANCE

keep quiet. Boko haram are not invincible.
If we get Israeli, USA support and some western nations collaborative efforts it will be a thing of past.

First is to get rid of their sponsors, identify andcut their arms and financial flow. This willl weaken them totally.

Then area bombardment follow.

But guess what? Until the North are ready to do away with this Jihadist or the government are ready to tackle them headlong.

Same Israel that cannot pin point Hamas?

Same US that ran away from Afghanistan, only for same Taliban they came to fight to continue running the country. That’s after losing 20k soldiers.

Tell me more about US and Israeli intelligence!

Same one that cannot predict the next mass shooting in its own country?

The only question i keep asking people is y Nigeria dont have any of this problems under IBB AND Abacha?

Help me answer that question if u can?
Democracy and State rights created Boko Haram and the associated sundry terrorist groups that sprang from it and take their inspiration, specifically the action and inaction of the Northern State Governors. Under military rule the governors were appointed and could at the same time be summarily dismissed unlike now. Under the military we have the Maitasine groups in Borno, Kano etc erupting into violence sporadically but the military government then crush them with ruthless force immediately.
