I have been in Benin for sometime now overseeing a project and I decided to use my family house instead of a hotel, knowing there's a lot of free rooms I can use. So one night I decided to stay around the compound in a dark corner up front, beside it is another compound leased out for business and some abokyys use there as warehouse to store their wares (nylons and plastic bags of all sorts)
Na so I dey smoke my loud with head phone and singlets with shorts, this abokky boy was just looking at me and telling the other one something. I called him and he came to me boldly. I asked why are you looking at me? He said nothing. Then I asked who are you and why are you here, he explained and told me that the oga who owns here is like a father to them and he doesn't want anything to harm him that's why he was telling his colleague that they should alert the gate security. Lol I just laughed and told him he's a good guy and introduced myself to them. He still didn't believe until he saw me enter through the first gate then the main compound gates. This security at the estate gate is just doing his job diligently and it's only natural to encourage such. Back in Lagos I face same thing a couple of times when I can't generate code or forget my card but I pass through most times cos I always tip them whenever I'm in the mood but when I meet anyone that doesn't know my face enough I respect myself and explain... simple! Some f00leesh people fight and try to create a scene forgetting if they can just let you in they can as well let in criminal elements. So instead of proving Mr. and Mrs. Universe respect yourself and that security on duty protecting you

From a security standpoint, the Gateman is right and knows his job well. . The owner may have also be testing the security man to see if there is a loop hole whether bigmanism will make him go against security procedures .

Kudos to the security man. The owner should increase his salary.

It doesn't matter if the estate is his or not, he should have put down his ego and speak to the gateman.

What stops the estate owner from having a sticker on his car, is it that difficult, is it out of place?

If he knows the rules then he should abide by it.
