Moreze:I disagree. Respect as they say is reciprocal, nothing wrong in Fayose paying baba in the same coin. The person to blame ie the cause of this whole wahala is Fayose. Even a kid born today know OBJs character, one of which is never to forgive, furthernore from his military training you dominate and annihilate. What validation did he need from OBJ that pushed him to invite him to his birthday and to even make him address the occasion? Omo he and his wife had to stand out like kids in shool assembly ground to take a lashing from the principal. Personally, I admire baba OBJ, a pan African and a detribalized Nigerian. |

Seriously the 2 of them are of same kind but I sincerely not expecting Fayose to send such SMS if I were to be him regardless the political correctness Obj brought up in the birthday galore though in dincererity obj went too far turning birthday party into political talks. However, it's a family affairs they will settles it. Obj also went far to the point of saying "Ayo I know yourr school, I know your classmates not like those we don't know their classmate" pls as an elderly man obj is, he shouldn't have joined issues on someone birthday, he was invited strictly for birthday and must be birthday indeed not missiles firing platform or a political bashing platform. Baba should be calming down abeg life is too short for unecessary fighting... All in all they will settle it. |

To me when, Celeration of Birthday Programmes comes with hearing what you like from friends and also to hear the bad aspect of your actions while growing up till that moment. The way Forward now is to weight both aspect of your good and bad for proper adjustment in the future before death comes. Let's remember, OBJ pointed out Fayose for his good remarks in Ekiti State. And his fuse with him and hereby said I have forgiven you. Mind you, Someone presence at an unexpected event means forgiven has set in and there's need for clarity to avoid embarrassment like the reply of "Thank You" by OBJ |

Respect begets respect. Even OBJ attested to this in his speech at Fayose's birthday, "you will be accepted if you do what is right, but... (Gen 4:7). If Fayose is wrong then may be because OBJ too is wrong. We can still remember not too long when, where, and how OBJ stood before the gathering of grade-A Yoruba's highly respected traditional rulers and he thoroughly bad-mouthed them in public, ordering them to Stand...Greet...Sit in the most ridiculous scenario. Why would anyone want to assume the monopoly of bringing others down in public, young or elderly? Let both OBJ and Fayose go and improve on their characters. |
