I understand that solutions to certain problems plaguing that region of the country seem impossible to come by.

However, there certainly have to be solutions.

I would suggest a more effective army through better funding for the military for improved intelligence and a very high increase in manpower, and a complete stop to rehabilitation of insurgents, and a determination to forgo votes from that part of the region, since they put up this primordiality because votes from there are precious to winning an election.

The problem isn't intelligence but policy.

The DSS has repeatedly provided information about the attacks before they occured but the terrorists didn't face a single resistance.
Same with Yelewata earlier this year.

Go after the military and security agencies first. Sack enough of them to clean the slate.
