Mere words without substance. This doesn’t address the issues raised in anyway. The exhibition still stands canceled. Owanbe is owanbe and adire fabrics belongs exclusively to the Yoruba people.

Something else that was caused by Obidients bad behaviour.

Rewind 5 years ago, no Ndi Yoruba will bat an eyelid on this. In fact there would be pride that an Ndigbo did this.

Now, people that have lived together in relative harmony are now at each other's throats over something irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

Obidients, una nor try at all.

I do not support the Oba on this and his busybody is too much.

Artist have the right to tell their story the way they want and we also have the right to reject it after they tell their story and not before.

He created a mountain out of a molehill for nothing in this scenario and there was absolutely no need for an apology.

If a white person had done the same exhibition he would not have disturbed the person at all.

This is not an apology, it's a clarification for those bad belle people that have swore that Nigeria must remain divided for their political and stomach gains shocked

Where's the apology? She even insuuulted us more with this. Her event will not hold!

She even went to to edit her bio after dropping the silly disclaimer

Don't worry, Uzo Art. Events have overtaken that. The people who once attacked you have pivoted and are now preaching "Southern solidarity". They delude themselves into thinking they can play both sides.

STTTFFFFUUUU

I wrote the petition to Ọba of Lagos and he looked into it, what's bad in thathuh

A white person would not print igbo words and on Adire and present it as Lagos culture...

A white person would not also go to National TV station to admit she doesn't know anything about Yorùbá culture yet want to launch an art book that will be proposed as collectible piece of Lagos culture...

Incase you don't know, what Uzor is trying to do is separate Lagos from Yorùbá and diluting it's culture through art and we will not accept it...

Why is she also teaching how to make Adire in her event yet she went on TVC to claim her event has nothing to do with Yorùbá culture...

Ohaneze doing all.it can to install Eze Ndigbo stools across Lagos and even an Obi of Lagos.

Obidients determined to vote an ibocentric or even ibo as Lagos state governor.

Ibos contesting in all elected positions for Lagos state.

Ibos calling Lagos no man's land and claiming to be the ones who developed Lagos and own the vast majority of properties in Lagos.

An ibo pastor in far away Aba preaching to his congregation that he saw a vision that an ibo man will be the next governor of Lagos state and he will be a blessing and benefit to all Ibos.

Now this woman flagrantly attempting a cultural appropriation of Yoruba culture, fashion and even language to be ibo in the guise of arts exhibition.

There is a very conceited war being waged to ibocentrify Lagos state via cultural appropriation and transplanting of ibo culture in Lagos .

Even a green perosn can do whatever they like in Yoruba land, the oba was explicit just as many are explicit today,

IT IS ONLY YOU IGBOS WE DO NOT ALL THAT SPACE.

Now that I spelt it out you feel to knock you medulla on the concrete.

Well-said. Art itself is expressive and contextual. Meaning this this would have been taken as such had it not been that Yorubas now know Igbos despise them and malevolently covet everything they have.

Sadly, the days of Yorubas having accommodative grace towards Igbos are over. Everything they now do, Yorubas will scrutinize with suspicion to seek the underlying malevolent ulterior motives, against Yoruba interest, most now believe is second nature for majority of Igbos.

What you have just said is apt. Imagine if it was Oyinbo that did the exact thing, Oba will turn blind eyes but because it's Igbo.

Lastly, I don't even blame them I blame the Uzo that chose to ignore her own language, went and borrowed another.

Now they have come for her, but would Igbo people learn? The answer is No! Agreed, Igbos are the only true nationalists in this country but can't they see that the hate and enemity is too much towards them and why can't they backtrack and start using their language for their things and drop this notion of one Nigeria.

Every other tribe have moved away from one Nigeria liesonly Igbos are still holding on to it.

A bunch of Ibos in Enugu decided to hold Amala festival in Enugu.

Ibos came after them that they should not celebrate anything like Amala in Enugu or anywhere in Iboland.

IPOB and Obidient posters here demanding that Yoruba pop music and artiste be banned from being played anywhere in Iboland .

Kanu declaring that any ibo still attending Yoruba churches are fools.

IPOB through Emma Powerless issuing a Persona non gratia notice to Kumiyi to not hold any of his slated crusades anywhere in IBO land.

Ibos attacking and killing northern artisan labourers alongside Dangote truck drivers who gave them a lift as they travelled from the north through ibo land to the SS with ipob declaring the innocent victims as bandits and terrorists to justify the ethno religious motivated senseless murder.
