There's nothing any foreign power will do to strengthen democracy if we will not do it for ourselves.

For example look at the Wike problem in the PDP today ; is it the US government that will help PDP manage its internal affairs? Is it US government that didn't have the balls to expel Wike for the past 2 years for anti-party activities?

Or is it US government that will stop politicians that are decamping from their initial party to the APC?

The fact is we need external help to deal with terrorism in this country, but u see that talk about democracy being under threat, na the work of our politicians and it is only amongst them.tbey can get it sorted.

I clearly understand your point. Was responding because the other poster presented it as If the new PDP chairman Kabiru Turaki who's from North is against US assistance in eradicating terrorism in Nigeria but instead want US to intervene and save our democracy. That is pure and undiluted APC propaganda because this same Turaki recognize that there's a genocide against Christian in Nigeria.
They want to turn it to North 🆚 South. That PDP led by the North is calling Trump to remove a southern president which is stale. Check Onanuga post on X, he's calling it treason.

US have strong democrat institutions, while we have to do the bigger work ourselves, Washington can play a vital role by revoking visa, freezing accounts & funds of those involved in electoral malpractice/violence/killings, vote buying, disobedience to court order.
