Giwa LGA, Kaduna State – Tension gripped communities in Giwa Local Government Area on Thursday morning following an attack by suspected bandits who reportedly stormed parts of the area at dawn.

Residents said they were awakened by the sound of gunshots as the attackers moved through the community, forcing many families to flee to safety. While full details regarding casualties or property damage remain unclear, locals described the situation as “chaotic” and “frightening.”

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, catching many residents unprepared. “People started running as soon as the gunshots began. We didn’t know where to hide,” one resident shared.

Security agencies have reportedly been alerted, and efforts are underway to assess the situation and restore calm. Authorities have yet to release an official statement on the attack.

The latest incident adds to growing concerns over persistent insecurity in parts of Kaduna State, where communities continue to call for stronger protection and quicker response from security operatives.

Which government is bringing peace to Nigeria? Is it pdp, labor party, accord party or our newly formed Adc? Nigerians deceive themselves alot and play politics with people life since insecurity has not gotten to them.
What really motivate insecurity in Nigeria? Every state in Nigeria suffers security challenges but 85% comes from the North. Benue people have been suffering insecurity for more than two decades but it seems what has been happening in Benue state for long is now getting to other part of the country.

Who are the people spreading insecurity? Where do they get motivation for spreading insecurity? Could it be from their holy book or imams, traditional leaders and politicians?

Every government has been paying lip service to insecurity from 2010 . And also different governments have been setting aside billions of dollars every year to fight terrorism and banditry but to no avail. We can not continue these ways.

Nigerians need to advocate for referendum if it does not exist in our constitution. We are totally different from each other on the basis of culture and religion perceptive. There is need for discussion about coming together as Nigerians. It goes beyond political party whether it is APC, PDP, Apga,LP even the newly formed Adc. Are they not the same people with same interest?
Nigerians need to talk about our togetherness. If we can not agree on some salient points then let's go our different ways instead of wasting people life.
