Hello i’m in urgent need of advice. I recently moved into a flat and i came to find out the previous tenants left a huge debt on it, nepa said there was illegal connection which caused the N500K debt. Is there anything i can do about this?

Is there still NEPA ni? There's no NEPA anymore.

And it's the property owner's liability. He or she can clear it or involve the police to report electricity theft.

Yeah, sorry. Meant EKEDP. I will do that but they insist I won’t have any electricity until it’s paid down to the dime. Meaning I will have to be in darkness for a while.
