That dude is done. Theatrics didn’t save him at the end of the day. His lawyers should start looking for grounds of appeal.

Now that he has been legally convicted, south east leaders can start pushing for clemency on his behalf from Mr. President. I still believe a political solution can be negotiated to end this matter.

Unfortunately for him, he didn't contest any of the prosecution's claims. He can't introduce new claims during appeal. He can only claims the judge didn't consider his claims correctly in appeal. Since he didn't mount any defense, in what grounds will he appeal?
Any judgement imposed on him now can't be appealed! All his appeals will be thrown out immediately!
