Pope Leo XIV, head of the Catholic Church, has pushed back claims that Christians are facing genocide in Nigeria, emphasising that the country’s violence affects Christians, Muslims, and other groups alike. Sportsweb:Gbam! Case in point was the Deborah blasphemy issue. The moderate northern Muslims claim they support the death penalty for Blasphemy but they just don't support the death penalty being carried out by the mob that burnt her to death. Even the Sultan of Sokoto paid lip service to condemning the murder of Deborah. Guess what? When the matter was taken to court, over 50 senior Muslim lawyers (led by a professor of law at Usman Dan fodio University) stood for the murders, put their full weight behind the Case and ensured the case was dismissed by the magistrate after the complicit police force failed to appear in court to present evidence. I wonder how some of them live with some of these decisions they take honestly! |

Suddenly, a Pope's view is acceptable in this matter. Nobody asked for his opinion when Deborah was to be burnt. Wow! Times change |

izzou:Shebi na so Northerners sef start to deny and play the ostrich, who suffered more from the insecurity and banditry Same thing IPOB where 95% of their victims were fellow Ibos. Anyone who lives in the East will personally know some victims You remember how market women were shot and flogged for daring to go to market on Monday or when school children were laid down and flogged some shot for daring to go write exams on a sit at home day I know a few friends who have abandoned their family home, abandoned their business in the east and fled the area. Is it until you turn your own home state to another Northern Nigeria? |

izzou:Spy's anger is probably was/as a result of different justice for difference tribe/regions KANU deserves deattttttttth/life imprisonment but when u look at the mirror using northerners lens then ur justice becomes selective, biased or absolute one sided which ultimately could be regarded as "injustice" |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by BlueRayDick: 12:44pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
Segedinho:That's not it. Right from time Spy has always believed Kanu is a freedom fighter and not a terrorist. He has always turned a blind eye to the havoc Kanu's actions and inactions have wreaked in the southeast. If it's about justice, then he should've been advocating for Kanu's accelerated trial. Instead, he wants the government to just free Kanu and for him not to answer for any of his crimes. |

BlueRayDick:there is a guy celebrating the freedom fighters this is a guy who dropped the mask - and you have people who never even bothered with a mask at all now are these people a noisy Muslim minority or a noisy Muslim majority?

https://books.openedition.org/ifra/1833?lang=en i will just cherry pick some events 26-31 July 2009: Boko Haram launches a short-lived uprising in Borno, Bauchi, Yobe, Gombe, Kano, and Katsina, which is quelled by a military crackdown that allegedly leaves more than 800 dead – mostly sect members and civilians. The mosque in Maiduguri used as the sect’s headquarters and Yusuf’s compound are destroyed. Approximately forty Christians are executed by members of the sect and twenty churches are burnt down. Hundreds of Boko Haram members are arrested, including Mohammed Yusuf. Handed over to the police by the army who arrested and interrogated him, Yusuf is summarily executed while in custody on 30 July. Alhaji Buji Foi, the former Commissioner of Religious Affairs and a financier of Boko Haram, is also captured and later killed at the police headquarters in Maiduguri. 24 December 2010: Approximately ninety people are killed during attacks in Jos and Maiduguri. A series of explosions claimed by Boko Haram in nine Christian neighbourhoods of Jos result in the death of 32 people, while immediate reprisals kill about fifty. The same day, Boko Haram members open fire on two churches in Maiduguri, killing six. The bomb blasts in Jos spark a month of sectarian violence, claiming more than 200 victims among Christians and Muslims alike.i remember reading about the events of 2009 where they basically tried to force christians to convert at gunpoint and they killed those who resisted https://www.vanguardngr.com/2009/09/how-pastor-orji-and-i-were-captured-by-boko-haram-operatives-survivor/ |

This is what Nezzjnr was talking about this morning concerning shielding these terrorists
Just look at Terrorists moving around in broad dayling dressed in military uniform In Zamfara 🤦♂️ Perhaps the reason most elite northern Muslims are against US military intervention is that they actually love these terrorists/bandits |
