How embarrassing. We don't owe the U.S. or any country any explanation. This practice of going to Washington, D.C. to explain our internal issues to U.S. politicians is a disgrace that won't result in anything meaningful. Trump is only interested in a show, while the U.S. deep state created this problem. What is our government afraid of? The illegal threat of the U.S. or refuting false claims? You can't appease illegality. If it is the latter, we have done enough. You don't have to be on U.S. soil. Nigeria is a sovereign country. We need to get our priorities right. A responsible Legislature would have been mounting pressure on the executive to live up to its responsibilities, since Trump made that declaration. So I see this as a subtle way I of bribing the legislature to go with the government narrative on insecurity in the country
