The Firstname (Femi)on my BVN does not match what's on my NIN/passport (Olufemi). So when my NIN was generated from my BVN it used the same firstname, So come time for passport renewal it was rejected due to that. So I had to update the firstname on the NIN to match.

I did a full name change due to some circumstances and now I can't seem to update my BVN with the new names.

Good Afternoon everyone, has anyone done change of name on their International passport and had to pay 35k to an immigration officer dor vetting. I'm just coming back from Kaduna NIS office and the officer I was directed to told me they don't get in their office that vetting has to be done in Abuja. So its either I know someone in their Abuja office who can help me or he charges me the stated fee to help put a call through to Abuja. Then after capturing I'll still need to pay 10.5k to get my documents signed because of my change of name. I just left there disgusted and disappointed by our failed system. Please share tips on how I can cross this hurdle if you've experienced similar issue

, go to your bank and provide them with your NIN and passport.
Your bank will follow up with CBN to do corrections

I have gone to 2 different branches before I traveled, they both said the same thing. They said that the CBN has given them directions to not change completely the full name on the BVN of any individual.. They insisted I should write a petition to the CBN myself.

I'm not even bothered anymore as my NIN and passport is all I need now. The only problem I have is I can't put money in my account in Nigeria because I won't be able to withdraw it.

You could find cbn contact email. I know they respond because i know a friend who took up her complaints about excess withdrawals from her bank to cbn and provided evidence and cbn took it up .

Fix the NIN first then you can proceed with birthday date declaration.

Why not get the required certificate instead to save you the stress

Get the original certificate, that is what the need for physical inspection.

Your state should have a liaison office at the secretariat where you are. Search for it

I have a local government identity certificate that I used for my admission processing, I collected it from my local government Secretariat in 2017. So I am asking if it is the same as Indigenship certificate.?

Make sure to present the original during your capturing date.

Has anyone had issues with the NC attestation portal? I tried doing it for my sister; her NIN was inputted, and it brought out all her details. The only thing we did was answer the required question. We double-checked details more than twice. It was submitted. Now after approval, we are seeing a difference in the middle name.

How is this even possible? After inputting her NIN, it automatically displayed her name and phone number.

Now here, the middle name and phone number are different from what was submitted. Please, how do I go about this?

You can also do this in person at any physical NPC office. Each state has one

Then make the time. if online doesnt work no one here works with NPC to troubleshoot why their site does not work even though you input the correct details.

You have the option of going inperson if online doesnt work for you
You will still do the passport process in person
