Hello House,
My HP laptop mouse , keyboard and touchpad stopped working, but when I plug in a USB mouse, it works fine.
i have tried several HP and Intel drivers keep failing to install through Windows Update (I get error codes)
I’ve tried restarting, updating, change windows and basic troubleshooting, but nothing’s changed. some engineers have also tried to fix it with no luck. One was able to get it right after installing some drivers, but once i restart the computer, the problem comes bck again
Could it be a hardware connection or driver issue?
Any idea on what to do please ?
Thank you
Model of the laptop?

SPECS: MSI B450m pro-vdh max Ryzen 5 5500 Rx 6600xt Corsair CX650M

Yesterday the computer shut itself when i was about two hours into playing a game (Zenless Zone Zero) and i noticed the fans do not spin when i turned it back on.

I read online that this was normal, but even after doing disabling zero rpm mode and using afterburner to manually control the fans, they did not start. Even at high temperatures they were not moving.

A wierd thing that also happened was after i decided to remove and reinsert the pcie cable connecting to the GPU, it stopped displaying, and no warning leds were blinking. I even changed the port on the PSU but that did not fix things. Today morning i decided to return the pcie cable to it's original position on the PSU and the display came up again, which was when i took the pictures above.
Overheating can cause PC to shutdown. I suggest you check the fan to be sure it is functional and avoid using the PC to run at a high temperature in order not to damage your processor or graphics card.

I'm experiencing the same issue with my HP EliteBook 1050 G1. Initially, the laptop would turn on with all keyboard backlights and fans running at maximum speed, but with no display. After trying various troubleshooting steps, I removed the battery, RAM, and SSD, and put them back in. However, upon reassembling, the laptop started restarting itself repeatedly with no display, and the keyboard backlight and touchpad are unresponsive. The F8 and F11 keys show amber lights, and the Caps Lock light blinks briefly before shutting off.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

How many RAM stick do you have installed on it?
If it is two try troubleshooting with each one of them and see.

The restarting issue could be as a result of a fault RAM.

I installed on it only 1 ram stick, and I've even tested the laptop without RAM. Unfortunately, it repeatedly restarts after every 15-20 seconds, displaying a black screen, while the fans run at maximum speed.

Flickering screen I guess it is the problem you are referring to which is majorly as a result of weak or faulty screen due to pressure. It is not a motherboard issue, hence you can take the laptop to people that deal on screen to check and replace the screen if you want to continue using the laptop.

I put my laptop in hibernation but it was taking time to hibernate (more than 10 minutes). So I forced shut down by pressing and holding the power button. Now the laptop won't turn on again.

If I plug it, the charging light comes on. If I turn it on, the power light will just be going on and off in 5 seconds interval.

The keyboard lights and screen don't come on and the fans don't come on too.

I have tried disconnecting the battery.

Pressing and holding down the power button for 1 minute

Resetting the CMOS battery

Removing the ram and ssd. None worked.

What could be the issue. Laptop is Lenovo Legion 5

motherboard issues
I later took it in for repairs and the repairer said it's the bios, that he will need to reprogram it manually by removing it from the motherboard, reprogramming it with a new bios and reinstalling it back.

Is that in line with a possible solution?

yes that action corrupted your BIOS, your system was going through windows update and some other updates, and you suddenly power it off.
Next time don't force shutdown laptops, always save your work and shutdown properly. It's not even advisable to hibernate, always shutdown properly

you wouldn't know. It's called background updates and processes once you're connected online, the system will automatically updates windows and system drivers and others and install them, so this BIOS is part of it. The system must be allowed to update completely, without obstructing the process. You can disable those windows updates and others not to update automatically though.

Good day house. Please any recommended laptop technician in Ibadan? I have a HP laptop that indicates charging but will not come on at all. Battery had not been holding charge well in recent times so I suspect it is the cause.

Instead of format he can reinstall the operating system without deleting any partition, that way it will backup to windows old, though you'll lose your apps but your documents, pictures, videos etc will be there.

Sorry about your situation.

Was the BIOS update automatic through Windows Update, or you did it through a flash drive?

The BIOS may be corrupted and need to be flashed again through USB before a new operating system can be reinstalled.

If you don't want to lose your data, you can open your laptop, remove the hard drive and connect it to an external enclosure, then connect it to another laptop, and backup all your important files.

If you're in Lagos and need help with this, I can do this for you for a small fee to cover my transport.

Let me try to understand you.

Your webcam is not turning on again, and the Wifi is not showing any wireless networks?

Some of your drivers may be corrupt and need to be reinstalled through Device Manager.
