“They Are Threatening Me, Watching My Moves From Aso Rock" – Evangelist Ezekiel Dachomo Asks Tinubu's Aides To Stop Intimidation
November 21, 2025
NEWS

A Plateau State-based cleric, Evangelist Ezekiel Dachomo, has alleged that operatives loyal to the President Bola Tinubu’s administration have been issuing threats to silence him over his global advocacy on the “ongoing killings of Christians in Nigeria.”

He made this known in a video which SaharaReporters saw on Friday.

Dachomo began the video with a direct plea, “They are threatening and warning me to stop exposing Tinubu’s government at the global level over the ongoing killings of Christians in Nigeria by Fulani terrorists. They say they’re watching my every move from Aso Rock.”

He revealed that some individuals had told him to keep silent.

According to him: “Somebody says Reverend who stop exposing the government, your own government, your country. I say, oh, so I’m now exposing my government in which they are watching me right inside on social media.”

The cleric said he rejected the idea of staying silent because, according to him, the government’s inaction has endangered Christians nationwide.

He continued: “Then I say, ah, what of me? That the same government exposed us to fulani killings by refusing to stop fulani from killing us. Are they not exposing us to them? Their silence is exposing the Christians all over Nigeria.”

He went further to accuse the government of emboldening extremist groups.

Dachomo said: “Now, the Boko Haram, ISWAP, that they are divided, they are rejoicing, they kill because they know the government cannot do anything when they kill us. They have exposed us to Islamic terrorists by their silence.”

He also condemned government officials who allegedly deny that Christians are facing mass targeted killings.
“Not only silence, they came out publicly and say there is no genocide on Christians. That is another exposure that we are lying.”
Dachomo narrated how he received a distressing phone call earlier in the day, shortly after visiting a gravesite in Abuja.
“I was at the gravesite from Abuja today. When I was just climbing Awankibo, a phone call comes and say, Reverend, have you heard what is happening? Then I say, what is happening again? I thought they have attack another one and that one is more attack. It’s more stronger.”

He then referenced Sheikh Ahmad Gumi — describing him as “the son of late Gumi, that used to go and bargain with terrorists” — and accused him of claiming that the corpses buried after recent killings did not exist.

Dachomo said: “He came out and say all the corpses, all the corpses that we buried is a lie. All we buried is only coffins. We buried coffins, all of them, they are empty.”

The evangelist vowed to drag Gumi before international authorities.

“I have made his name. He must appear to Interpol, even when he hide in Saudi Arabia, I am very sorry for him. They will fish him out. He will appear in the International Criminal Court of the world to come and testify and I want they will put high delegate together with Minister of Defense, SSS of Nigeria.”

Dachomo insisted that stakeholders must visit the gravesite to verify the truth.

“They must be at the grave. I have told the youth in that village to guard that tomb because very soon they will send their machinaries to come and dig the grave in the night and remove evidence.”

He said security personnel in the community had also been told to protect the burial ground.

“The security men that are working in that village, I say they should help in guarding the village, the tomb, the monument.”

Dachomo then demanded that top officials appear if the government wants “sincerity” in uncovering the truth.

“And I want the Chief Judge of Nigeria must be present. If really they want sincerity, factual, they should be present. The Chief of Defence, the Chief of Army Staff, GOC must be present.”

He challenged the authorities to allow an exhumation to determine who is telling the truth.

“Let us dig the grave and see what is there. Who is lying? Turning my tears to become a hypocrite dress? This is an empty coffin.”

The cleric became visibly emotional toward the end of the video.

“God of vengeance will fight. Go to my Facebook, you will see me crying at the grave.”

The Northerners wanted a stooge to carry on with their Islamization of the whole country and they found one in Tinubu.

Sharia and Islam was the aim of Buhari. They want to spread it like wild fire. Tinubu and his sw people are the Medium to achieve that without blaming a Northern president or a Northerner to fault for the blames.

It is better for a subject from the usual West of Nigeria to be used to advance the Islamization of the country without suspecting the fula Northern from jalon

What will befall the SW in few years from now will be unimaginable. For now they are only interested in perpetrating injustices on NK and our neigbours from the East

Nigeria Is A Disgrace; It's Genocide And I'm Really Angry – President Trump Insists
November 22, 2025
NEWS

The United States President, Donald Trump, has again voiced strong criticism of the Nigerian government over what he described as the “genocide” of Christians in the country.

Speaking Friday on a conservative radio programme — remarks later highlighted by Fox News, which captured the exchange — Trump claimed that thousands of Christians were being killed in Nigeria and accused the government of failing to curb extremist violence.

The US President reiterated his administration’s earlier designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” over alleged religious persecution, saying Washington may take further action if the situation does not improve.

“Nigeria is a disgrace. The whole thing is a disgrace,” Trump said during the interview. “They’re killing people by the thousands. It’s a genocide, and I’m really angry about it.”

He warned that the US could cut off aid to Nigeria, citing American financial support to the country.

“We give a lot of subsidies to Nigeria. We’re going to end up stopping,” he added.

Trump also repeated his threat of possible military intervention against Islamist militant groups if the Nigerian government “does not do more” to protect Christian communities.

SaharaReporters had reported on Friday that the United States War Department said it was working closely with the Nigerian government to end what it describes as "jihadists terrorists” attacks on Christians in Nigeria.

This was disclosed by the Secretary of the War Department, who stated on X: "Yesterday, I met with Nigeria’s National Security Advisor and his team to discuss the horrific violence against Christians in their country."

"Under @POTUS leadership, DOW is working aggressively with Nigeria to end the persecution of Christians by jihadist terrorists," he posted on Friday.

The statement followed a meeting on Wednesday between Congressman Riley M. Moore and a delegation of senior Nigerian government officials led by National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu during their visit to Washington, D.C.

Members of the delegation included Ribadu; Her Excellency Bianca Ojukwu, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun; Attorney General of the Federation Chief Lateef Olasunkami Fagbemi, SAN; Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Olatunbosun Oluyede; Chief of Defence Intelligence Lt. Gen. EAP Undiendeye; Special Adviser to ONSA Idayat Hassan; Director of Foreign Relations, ONSA, Ambassador Ibrahim Babani; Acting CDA, Embassy of Nigeria, Ambassador Nuru Biu; and Paul Alabi of the Embassy’s Political and Economic Section.

According to the statement, the meeting “allowed for a frank, honest, and productive discussion about the ongoing persecution of Christians and ongoing terrorist threats in Nigeria and opportunities for strengthened cooperation and coordination between the United States and Nigeria to end the bloodshed.”

It added that the Nigerian delegation “shared their government’s challenges and concerns regarding counterterrorism, security assistance, protection of vulnerable communities, and ongoing issues involving violence across Nigeria.”

The release noted that Congressman Moore “clearly stated that the United States stands ready to coordinate and cooperate with Nigeria,” adding that “as President Trump made abundantly clear, the United States will not tolerate continued violence against Christians or other forms of religious persecution.”

It further stressed that “President Trump does not make idle threats.”

It added that Moore “will continue monitoring new developments and pushing the Nigerian government to accept the open hand of cooperation to stop the ongoing persecution and violence against Christians and combat the threat terrorist groups pose to the Nigerian population.”

Moore also issued a detailed statement after the meeting.

“Today, I had a frank, honest, and productive discussion with senior members of the Nigerian government regarding the horrific violence and persecution Christians face and the ongoing threat terrorism poses across Nigeria,” he said.

U.S. House Committee Raises Alarm, Says Nigeria Becoming “One Of The Most Dangerous Places On Earth To Follow Christ”
December 7, 2025
NEWS

The United States House Appropriations Committee has raised fresh alarm over what it described as the rapidly deteriorating situation for Christians in Nigeria, warning that the country is becoming “one of the most dangerous places on Earth to follow Christ.”

The Committee made the remarks in a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday night, signalling renewed legislative pressure on the White House to confront what American lawmakers increasingly refer to as an emerging Christian genocide in Nigeria.

In its post, the Committee stated, “Nigeria is rapidly becoming one of the most dangerous places on Earth to follow Christ, and as Robert Aderholt made clear in a roundtable this past week, we can’t ignore this crisis.

“Appropriators will continue to defend liberty and uphold religious freedom across the globe.”

Rep. Robert Aderholt, a senior member of the House and an influential voice on religious freedom issues, echoed the concerns, emphasising that Washington must take firmer steps to address ongoing violence against Christian communities in Nigeria and other parts of the world.

“We must stand firmly with Nigeria’s Christian communities and all persecuted believers worldwide, and I commend our collaborative efforts to provide the President with the information needed to confront this growing tragedy,” Aderholt said.

Appropriate

Nigeria has come under growing international scrutiny in recent years over widespread violence linked to banditry, terrorism, and communal conflicts, much of which disproportionately affects Christian communities in the Middle Belt and northern states.

Attacks by extremist groups such as Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) have persisted for over a decade, while banditry, armed herder–farmer clashes and mass kidnappings have increasingly targeted rural Christian settlements.

The U.S. has repeatedly accused Nigerian authorities of failing to adequately protect vulnerable communities, with some lawmakers going as far as describing the situation as “religious cleansing.”

Although the Nigerian government has consistently rejected allegations of genocide, arguing that the violence is driven by criminality and not religious persecution, Western legislative bodies continue to raise concerns about patterns of targeted attacks.

The U.S. State Department had previously listed Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC) for religious freedom violations in 2020, only to remove it a year later, a decision that drew sharp criticism from American legislators, including Rep. Aderholt.

For months, several congressional committees have held hearings and roundtable discussions, which led to the President Donald Trump administration reinstating Nigeria on the CPC list and threats of stronger measures, including possible military actions against terrorists in Nigeria.

With the latest statement, the House Appropriations Committee signals that the issue may now influence budgetary and foreign policy decisions in Washington.

The Committee also hinted at continued efforts to pressure the White House into taking a more assertive stance.

For many advocacy groups monitoring religious violence worldwide, the Committee’s declaration marks yet another sign that Nigeria’s security crisis, long treated as an internal issue, is fast becoming a focal point of international legislative concern.
