I jumped on the MTN Fibre X bandwagon about 6 weeks ago and subscribed to the 20mbps for 18,000 naira. About 2 weeks later, I wanted to pay for 3 more months but guess what- the 20mbps for 18,000 naira has been removed form the MTN platform. I decided to wait till my subscription is about to expire before doing the 25k for 50mbps, but lo and behold, that too has been taken off the market .

I guess you’re a marketer for Airtel Nigeria… this tactics doesn’t work… I have friends in Nigeria that are using Mtn fibre X in their estates, they say it’s one of the best things Mtn has done in a long time… So don’t speak ill of other businesses just to sell yours…. I’m very convinced the 20mbps is still very much active, maybe you need to contact Mtn for how to do that |

floss:I can also confirm the entire info by the OP is false. I have been on MTN fiberx for 10months or so, I renewed my 50MBPS a few weeks ago. The 20 mbps was still available…..it has always been on a separate menu. I have never seen the interface he posted, I use the text service *461# to renew. Service uptime, speed and reliability is 99/100 EDIT: I actually just remembered that I had downgraded to 20mbps at my last renewal.. I had completely forgotten. That I had forgotten just tells you I didn’t even notice any difference despite the speed downgrade. |

floss:You guys should take it easy when people come to give their life experiences, nothing in the post suggests it wasn't an honest mistake. I was on Airtel 5g and stopped using it because they tried the same tricks by unreasonably increasing their price and lowering their service after using the same tricks. |

madprophet:Contact the customer care, I believe that’s the right way to go about it… except the topic is about him already reached out to Mtn and they say it’s no longer available |

casualobserver:This is very insightful… I believe OP should reach out to their support team |
| Re: Beware Of MTN Fibre X Broadband by casualobserver: 11:33am On Nov 22, 2025 |
floss:I believe someone already pointed out to him that the. 20mbps is on a seperate menu. Just like it is on the sms menu. As you can see below If you select option 1, it won’t list the 20mbps option which is option 2 on the landing page and easy to miss. Wierd but that’s how they roll.
