Yes, I am considering getting the Airtel, that is what I even wanted to get during the period that they sent me back to the dark ages with their downtime. I wanted to spend that 25K fibre sub on the Airtel ODU, but the time was the issue sha, since I have to go to their office for the device. I don't know why one cannot register for the airtel ODU online and have it delivered. If I could get the device without needing to visit their office I would already be on the Airtel ODU by now.

If I don't receive my compensation from MTN before my current sub expires I will try and find time and visit the Airtel office sha, Airtel network is decent in my area so I won't mind giving it a try.

You will not get the up to date Fibrex coverage areas on MTN website.
The easiest way to know if if is available in your neighbourhood is to look out for poles with black or white boxes with curled up wires
MTN poles are usually shorter than NEPA poles

Expect near constant speeds.
Heavy downloads reduces the speed.
I am on 50Mbps and have multiple devices hooked up to my WiFi. About 10 - 20 devices

Other things to expect:

Constant speeds - rain or shine
Streaming on multiple devices at Full HD or 4K
Fast downloads
Cumulative of about 1 hour downtime every week. Also possible to have a long downtime of an hour or more at a time. Not frequent though.
MTN customer service is not the best.

One big grudge i have is that you can not change the Primary DNS Server and Secondary DNS Server. The text boxes are greyed out.

Been using it now for three months and it's the smoothest network device I've ever used.
I used Airtel router for over a year before the mtn broadband and the broadband is not only cheaper, but more stable.
Yes there has been downtimes about two or three times which normally do not take time.
Overall, I give it 97%.
25k monthly and I even connect my neighbour upstairs join.

Yes, I paid 25k for one month subscription, the device is free. Installation is free, but you can choose the give the installer a little token after installation and you'll also need to rent a ladder for the installer

Depends on your router. Some may have a data usage monitor. Mine doesn't, but MTN is supposedly working on one for the Fibre page.

If it has not been installed on a pole in your area, can you get MTN to install the pole? So you can buy the device?

It's not just from one pole, it's an entire wired network that goes back to their facility.

if your tv isn't smart you'll need an android tv box of any type....or if you have a laptop you can use as tv box

I can see the mtn pole in my area but cant find my area listed as a fiberx location on mtn website.

How else can i order this fiberx asides through the mtn website?
