YOU CAN SEE WHAT THE ELDERS OF THIS COUNTRY HAVE BEEN DOING SINCE THE DAYS OF GOWON UP TILL NOW.
YOU CAN SEE WHY NIGERIA IS SUCH A DISGRACED COUNTRY AND NO SOLUTION IS IMMINENT.
YOU CAN SEE WHY THEY ARE REALLY THE WASTED GENERATION.
A MAN WHO SHOULD BE ON THE STREETS PROTESTING THE INDISCRIMINATE KILLINGS OF NIGERIANS IS NOW TALKING FROM BOTH SIDES OF HIS MOUTH.
SHAME INDEED. NEVERTHELESS, THE DAY OF RECKONING IS COMING SOON.

A true patriot
God bless you sir
Recently he's not living up to his name as a true Patriot. Where was he when the terrorists and bandits are indiscriminately killing and kidnapping the citizens of Nigeria with impunity and he hasn't said anything to condemn these acts of violence.

In fact, he hasn't come out to say anything against the government's bad governance and anti people policies that's making people lives unbearable. What are you saying?

Everybody knows trump is a mad man.

You want to assist a country fight insecurity, instead of meeting the government officials of the country and discussing with them, you went to social media to post about invading the country.
Discus with a Nigerian government whose handling of insecurity is at best preposterous and amateur?
Will USA discus with a country who security details have been compromised?
How is it possible that the army that was stationed to protect the kebbi school left and 45 mins later terrorists abducted the girls?

How was it possible for Boko Haram to pinpoint the exact coordinates, apprehend and killec Uba after he gave the army station his current location?

Who in his rightful sense will willingly give any of our security forces Intel knowing fully well that there are some Boko Haram informants in their midst?

US doest not make jokes about invasion. They have already despatched Nicki Minaj and other US politicians to start laying the ground work.

Do U think Trump just woke up to start making threats. This is something that has been long in the pipeline. The way the Nigerian economy is growing recently is a huge threat to the US. They are afraid that Nigeria may become the China of Africa.
Which economy is growing in Nigeria that's a threat to USA. Are we even up to the standard of south Africa or Egypt not to mention Singapore. My brother sorry oo, na dream you dey dream.

Errands boy of President Tinubu speaks.

Christian genocide has been raging in Nigeria for decades.
It's only an errands boy of the President of Nigeria who would fault the American president's decision to intervene to save lives of people in Nigeria.

But that still doesn't justify an invasion.
When your wicked and evil government is aiding, encouraging and supporting terrorists for political reasons and allowing them to roam freely with impunity and forming caliphate in some parts of the north. In that instance the people don't have a saviour except from outside the country or other countries to save them.

Soyinka is right. No one should threaten to invade a sovereign nation.
A country's sovereignty can be violated in a rogue country by the superpowers.
Sovereignty is not granted a country to undermine the human beings in the country. Nigeria undermined the survival and development of some of its ethnic and religious groups.
The Christian population in Nigeria is at the risk of annihilation by some other groups in Nigeria.

He is yet to condemn the inaction of the government in his own country for not tackling the security challenges.

I wonder. Sovereign nation where terrorists control swathes of land. How sovereign is a nation that cannot secure the safety and security of lives, property and territory?

The prof should not let US visa revocation colour his judgement.

He should also rise above tribalism. He lambasted GEJ to no end but kept mute under Buhari (strategic silence to favour Tinubu later) and under Tinubu.

This professor know nothing about terrorism act.
The United Nations terrorism Acts which Nigeria is a member and united state is a custodian, enforcer and executioner enabled the US to invade, prosecutes and eliminate a terrorists worldwide with the help Geneva interpols. That Acts was used when US invaded and destroyed all Iran Nukes.

US has global terrorism Army that can strike any nation, and nothing I repeat nothing will happen because the UN terrorism Acts empowered them. I believe the Potius are weighing in the after effects.

When we talking global politics, the dementia infested old man should keep shut, this is not poetry.

HgAkpobomeEr:
Soyinka's response is spot on. No self-respecting nation should welcome the idea of foreign troops on its soil.
I am really shocked at the kind of comments by Nigerians, it really shocks me.
Your neigbours house is on fire and your neigbour is rejecting help because he claims to be a independent and a Sovereign household.
Many of those commenting are in their aircondition houses thinking that all is well.
It is slowly coming, soon bandits entering churches in Lagos and kidnapping students in the boarding houses in Lagos will soon be a daily
occurence. Nigeria is at war with bandits and terrorists, they have made it their mandate to turn Nigeria into an islamic state.
It is already too late for Nigerians and they don't realise it.
Let us do this thought experiment to help you see how backwards many Nigerians condemning Trump are.
Assuming Soyinka has 2 daughters in a secondary school in Lagos and bandits enter the school and kidnap his 2 daughters, and 3 months
have passed and the Nigerian government still cannot find his girls and more than 300 students taken from that school.
Then Trump says he will send troops to Nigeria to help Soyinka look for his girls, saying the Nigerian government has failed.
What will be Soyinka response to Trump
A. Soyinka says to Trump "“You don’t just open your mouth and say, ‘I’m coming to help you whether you like it or not,’” he said. “With poor, almost non-existent analysis, you say you are coming with ‘guns blazing’. That is not how global diplomacy or security cooperation should work.”
B. Soyinka will welcome Trump's help with open arms

Nigerians see beyond the charade, statements are a representation of open interest. Soyinka is pained about his green card cancellation and isn't thinking based on the interest of those in Camps in the north, those in Boko Haram captivity in the forest, praying daily for someone to
help them, residents living in fear (both christians and muslims) in the middle belt and north.

Nigerians wake up, there is a SECRET COMBINATION in the land - a group of people bound by secret oaths to commit evil acts for personal gain or power.
