We are now in the era of "what if..."

What if the government handed weapons to all the survivors and gave them 2 months to track down and eliminate the terrorists?

Tinubu now seeing in HD what Jonathan saw.
The Bible was smart when it said pray for your enemies, he was laughing at someone, telling the person to resign for being clueless, now he is in the same position and he no gree to resign

Honestly it is very shameful for a nation with active military from army to air force, para military to be closing schools because of bandits. It only means our security agencies has been defeated in the face of international community.
The thing is, most schools in the North are located in small towns and villages, some of which are remote.

The army is bogged down fighting bandits, boko, and crime, and even sea piracy, some of which the police should fight, and budgets for the armed forces and police are damm too scanty (because nigerians prefer to vote leaders like tinubu who go share money).

At best army can send in ten, at worst, one guy to guard each and every school. All the bandits need to do is to just send in 40-100 AK 47 wielding guys to just one school. JUST ONE SCHOOL, which would be located in the remote area. Ten men vs 40 AK 47 wielding thugs,...you know who loses

(Chibok, in 2014, there were eight soldiers guarding the school. All Boko needed was triple if not more the number of guards, and yeah, the soldiers tried, but had to retreat under superior fire power, plus it was night time.24 or more boko geng vs 8 troops, and the boko geng have AK's. Meanwhile, boko has never raided a school in Maiduguri or Damaturu. They will all be killed in minutes).

Game has been played by bandits vs Nigeria for over 15 years. And they got us scared, divided, and over frightened. THat's the game they play.

Should there be reprisals...them bandits will hide in villages, or use kidnap victims as human shields. Guess who gets blamed when the bombs drop. Same format duing Yaradua, gej, buhari and now tinubu regime. Gofment.

(That's why we need better assymetric warfare capability)

Buhari too should be added...especially the day when he could not go home BY AIR because the boys were waiting for him with a SAM. Ironically he had to go by road.

That's the game the boko boys play and have played, use fear to disorient and disorganise the population. People get scared easily. Saner climes and in insaner climes.

..how can bandits and terrorists be controlling the northern states and government to the extent of closing down schools in the north...are these terrorists so powerful that the government and military cannot eliminate them

Won't work. Survivors don't know the environment as well as the terrorists, and bokoists.

The type of training needed to track down the bokoists is not for ordinary civillians. This is where our Special Forces come in

Unless we are ready to vote in a maximum dictator who will carpet bomb villages and round up millions in the North into special camps or villages where everyone going in or out is searched thorughly, and who will set up a secret police that would use surviellance to catch and jail even anyone who shows that he or she is going to be a threat, or just for no reason, well, we may stop the terrorists, but there would be millions dead, and the next seed for the next generation of terroists would be sowed.

Or we vote a leader who will improve assymetric warfare capability.

Is it this same Tinubu that was carrying Goodluck Jonathan casket in 2015 telling him to resign because of insecurity and even there was no school closed then and why was a state of emergency declared in Rivers state and not here huh??and Tinubu is even sleeping during the security chiefs meeting ….Nigeria is a disgrace

It’s worrying that insecurity is forcing schools to close at all levels. While safety has to come first, prolonged closures can seriously affect students’ learning and future opportunities. The government really needs to address the root causes urgently, not just the symptoms.

Not just the symptoms.
Create an online school, it's will be a great opportunity fo students that learn

Shutting down schools is not the solutions to insecurity in our country. You leaders know what to do to end this insecurity but you won't do it. Most of your children are not schooling in Nigeria so it doesn't affect you guys.

A fulani bandit murdered an assistant commissioner of police and later wore his uniform to a do called peace meeting with other police men grin and the bandit called Jankere left the meeting unharassed and well entertained with state funds.

The son's of anarchy are gradually achieving one of their objectives..closure of all Western schools in the North..

Having slowly achieved stopping farmers from getting to the farm to create artificial scarcity of farm products.
Slowly stopping church activities
Slowly and gradually achieving school closure.
Then they'll move to the next plan.
Stopping all govt owned agency from working.

Obviously, insurgency and terrorist are covering large grounds that will accommodate their imported fighters and mobilization and training.
We should start warming up for the big one.

The people need to protest seriously. All these bandits kidnapping people are foot soldiers of bokoharam, they are kidnapping and using billions to buy weapons, soon they will come together and launch major attacks for their jihad, like they did in Syria, Libya etc.

Well your thoughts are yours alone. If you can agree that Abacha as head of State was a good thing for Nigeria then maybe your thoughts might be right.

Nevertheless, the reason why PBAT won't put a State of emergency in those areas because the economy of the country does not rest there and nothing as of now of serious economic impact and importance that's s there that brings significant revenue to the nation.....

Thr truth is that only the North can solve this issue bedeviling them if they truly want to.
But since the Sultan and Emirs have resolved to remain silent and we have people like Gumi doing what he does best and the security agencies are also condoning such.......then it's tells a lot who is who.
Who is in charge of the security agencies again?

I guess in your only understanding its PBAT.

If that's the case, kindly explain to me what the necessity of security vote given and collected by all State governors?

PBAT has been waiting for all State governors to give an Okay for establishment of State Police but the State governors especially those in the North have refused completely....

Keep blaming PBAT for the insecurities caused by the northern elites and former states governors.

Why didn't said the same during the time of Goodluck?
The person was 7 years old then and had no access to the Internet so you wouldn't blame him or her. They're probably 19 right now and ignorant, else the person would have understood that the Governor doesn't control the Army nor the Police.

Yet he is pretending now as if he loves Education!

Re: Insecurity: Bauchi Govt Shuts All Primary, Secondary & Tertiary Institutions by lilsmart(m): 9:27pm On Nov 24, 2025
While we acknowledge the grave necessity behind the temporary closure of schools in Bauchi State due to security threats, it is crucial to recognize the profound repercussions of such a decision, as it disrupts the very foundation upon which our future is built. Every day of lost education is not merely a pause in academics, it is a delay in the development of the human capital that will drive our state's and our country's progress, economic stability, and innovation. Education is the indispensable backbone of any nation, and we must protect it at all costs, for when we interrupt it, we risk creating a generation that may grow to despise the very system that is meant to empower them. We might not be able to rectify every challenge in our generation instantaneously, but if we commit to training the next generation to be better, more industrialized, innovative, and logical than we are, and make them fall in love with education instead of despising it, I believe we are on the right direction.
