You can only tell this fallacious tales to the birds. Both Ebiras and Yorubas were never allies in anything. Those who know the history of the different Nigerian ethnic group before the European partition of Africa knows those ethnic groups that interacted among themselves whether as enemies or allies. I'm on of such persons.
Today, there are lots of Ebiras in Akoko Ondo and Eastern Ekiti sharing borders with Kogi(Ebira area).

Ebira people really tried to resist the Fulani jihad of the 1800s. They fought and resisted but the Fulanis were joined by the Yoruba and Nupe Muslims until the Ebira resistance was defeated. What you now have are an Ebira muslims with pent up anger. They are more fanatical than anyone you can think.
However, Ebiras are known to be a very bold fierce and hardworking people. It's unfortunate that Islam forcefully took over their land without anyone helping them out.
