It is only someone with an incredibly low self esteem who'd talk down on his origin and heritage.

They abound. Some talk down on Nigeria to be acceptable to their adopted countries.

Some come on twitter daily to harvest negativity and sew them in aimless twitter rants and want to lead this great country.

Some even call the country a disgraced country in their twitter rants. There was a thread yesterday where he asked if the country is cursed or if we are cursed. He ended up telling lies and proved that he was the curse.

Nigeria is great. We are rising to become a global force. Our citizens are doing the country proud with their exploits. Very soon, tourism would be booming, economy would become on a path of sustainable growth, our youth shall be employed and live happy lives.

We are the powerhouse of Africa. The sleeping giant is waking up and with that comes scare-mongering for weapons fashioned against Nigeria.

Bukayo Saka, we are proud of you.

Ngozi-Okonjo-Iweala, we are proud of you.

Akinwumi Adesina, we are proud of you.

Yemi Cardoso, we are proud of you.

Bola Tinubu, we are proud of you.

All the Nigerians in diaspora making exploits in their chosen fields, we are proud of you.

Those who talk down on the country daily to benefit from negativity, you can be proud of yourselves, but this great country will NEVER fall under the weight of your curses.
Crap,
Low self esteem ke
Why didn't he wait so he can play for the country of his origin?
You should give everything for the place you are proud of. He should have waited for call up, if doesn't come, whether or not it comes, that's a sign of love and pride for your origin

Well said.

To add on to that, the NFL in the US have had a policy of putting the flag of players ancestry on their helmets alongside the US one.

Guess which country has the most, Nigeria. Green white green flags adorn helmets of players from different tribes.

Yet some will not let us rest with their negativity.

cheesy

However, Mr. Saka we are proud of you. You are a star, for England and Arsenal (my own club). But please, forget about Nigeria. There's nothing to be proud about Nigeria.

Be grateful to your parents and England who have offered you a good livelihood and a platform to grow. Here in Nigeria, so many young football stars has be killed by Nigeria government sponsored terrorists.
How many young football stars were killed by terrorists? Can you name any one of them?

Also, many of you guys cry that government no let football grow. Football na money business. Many of you contribute to the growth of foreign footballers by paying DSTV and Startimes lots of money to air european leagues...and part of that money goes to football development

Then you come here and pay N1000 to watch Nigerian league match, meaning our clubs cannot keep decent players, or develop potential good players because money no dey.

PLus, most nigerians do not pay tax, that is why we have one tenth of what New York pays to police 25 million people...to pay our police to look after 230 million people. Defence budget is scanty. Plus you guys vote for tinubu and his clones, excuse corrupt people when it is your side winning, and bash them when it isn't, and refuse to vote for leaders who no go share una money.

Make we dey stop grumbling and start making hard choices. Yes, vote out tinubu, but don't bring him back or bring in one of his clones abeg.

He didn't say he was proud his Nigerian roots. He mentioned his full Yoruba name, and said he was proud of it. The op assumed "it" there means Nigerian roots. Saka actually meant his Yoruba roots.

Complete noise..
Total gibberish and thrash, nothing of substance said.

People are expressing their heartfelt thoughts concerning the situation of things in the country exactly same way you people did during GEJ regime and you call them unpatriotic!!!

See this regular one!
They are proud of their heritage but are all outside the country and playing for England national football team and in ur case, playing for the US teams!!!!

Let's leave out the NFL players and face the saka...bros is proud but is a member of the 3 🦁s and not a member of the super 🦅s!

Next year he will play in the world cup but not for Nigeria and Nigeria will not participate!

Those people you think and dream of everyday have no wahala with or hate the Saka but una own is just absolutely something else...

Maybe if Nigeria qualified and are paired with the 3 🦁s and the Saka have a clear chance to score,he will bamboozle the ball over the bar straight to Ibadan, abi?!!!

So much for sophistication.....

Per the NFL players, they were born and brought up in US and despite stiff competition, are earning a living in the US making use of their talents.

If they don't play for US teams, what teams should they play for? Have you got any Nigerian teams for them?

Bukayo Saka, same as Eberechi Eze, was born and brought up in UK. The system over there moulded them to be the fantastic footballers they are.

Unless you want to be a thief, stealing other people's products despite putting nothing into it, why should they play for the Eagles?

Why can't the NFF develop their own talents like England does theirs?

Your post makes little sense, I beg your pardon, it makes ZERO sense.

Stop the flim flamming.

Those players are from the English system, the same system that ours is not as good as and guess what, is nowhere as good as the Spanish or German one.

Even more interestingly, our system as e worwor reach is (considered) better than other systems.

We get it, Peter Obi losing elections means you dislike Nigeria, that is your choice. Some of us still love our country so please allowed us.

Well, Nigeria is a failed British experiment.

We criticize the criminals in power, because we actually want better for Nigerians. We expose the rot in the system because we deserve better.

The people that hate Nigeria are the ones that want to maintain the status quo under the pretense of patriotism, simply because this dysfunction favors them.

This luggardian contraption has been flailing and floundering for too long.

Anyway, one can be proud of his heritage and simultaneously be disappointed in his country. That is the case for me.

Apart from them, Nigeria has a lot of talent scattered across Europe.

It just takes active scouting to locate them.
