I’ve never heard anyone called the other four days of the week. Why?

I have seen and heard all 7 days of the weeks as names of people

Saturday plenty for Area.. My Rewire name na Saturday

People bear all - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday! It's common in the Niger Delta.

Akwa Ibom people dey bear abi answer all the days of the week. That I know very well.

We have seen from MONDAY TO SUNDAY, especially Middle belt and South.

If anyone would care to explain, I would really like to know the motive behind the naming? What's the significance apart maybe those people were born on that particular day

The same thing in Yoruba. Names like Abosede, Jimoh etc

I guess many fathers never really gave a thought about which name to give their child because they are still struggling to pay hospital bill so when pastor ask for the name, they simply check calendar and whichever day of the week is given as the child’s name 🤷🏽‍♂️

They're rare, especially Wednesday and Thursday. Only craze people like the ijaws and Binis go bear those two...

Did you know that Domingo is Sunday in Spanish?? It’s a common name among the Latino speaking people.

This also transcends cultures , example in Igbo land, they have 4 days in a in week. Eke, Orie, Afor, Nkwor. So also are the different adaptations of people’s names to each .
