America is a very weird place

An incident happened in Nevada yesterday

Two people were trying to pass each other in traffic. One brought out his gun and shot at the other one. He missed and it killed the guy's son.

Person picked just kpai like that because you get gun.
I'm always wondering why they carry guns like that even though there's no imminent danger.. Like you're not at war, no insecurity so why leave your house with a gun?

Road rage is a serious issue in many cities in the US. It has led to fatal accidents, injuries and life long incapacitations. There are those who would even follow you to your house or a parking lot out of rage.

Many get on the highway to bait others into a rage. Many states are responding by cracking down aggressively on road rage. If your car gets called in, it doesn’t matter what time, u may be tracked to your home and arrested, especially if it involves the use of a weapon.

If there is a citation, your insurance premium may triple or they may totally drop you. If the rage results in an accident be rest assured they are dropping you and if anyone picks you up, you go pay through your nose.

The bold is the koko.

Hollywood accepted and made him. And those people can cancel him back to zero.

I have never been a fan for a day. I just listen to his only musics I love. I am not into most of his songs.

His song that I love most is ballon d'or...and thats his only song I have on my play list. I love a few others, but his music nondey move me like that. I dont know why I dont buy into the wave...but every one get taste.

I am more into the old davido. I have a lot of his old songs on my play list ..and I love some of the new ones.

Davido is the Ronaldo of this shit - HARDWORK
Hollywood wen run men like Diddy, R-Kelly, Kanye West, Justin Timberlake street..

Shey na Burna wen be like Speed Darlington for their eyes go come hard? It will be quick and clean.

Na make dem no mean you!

No matter how our own take be, it ends immediately we leave the traffic

Who would someone's first option in a road rage be to shoot?..

Which kind anger be that?

No be everybody when wear cloth behind wheel dey sane, most na psychos.

Useless ego, people being too sensitive, anger, stress, immaturity and serious diagnosed/ undiagnosed mental illness.

The consequences and penalties are getting severe now. Infact some states are mandating employers to now check driving records during background screening.

You think say na everyone normal? For examples, honking unnecessarily is one of the main triggers of road rage
In the US you dont honk on people unnecessarily unless the car is at full stop and not moving when the light is green.

You can drive a car for 2yrs and not hear the sound of your own horn because you don't use it

When 2 adults with suits will get down and start wrestling inside traffic or smashing their windshields

The difference is that we have data, records for you to see.

Take for example, the Wike and Yerima issue. Do you know it could have turned fatal during the heated scuffle? If 1 gun holding officer shoot, e for don finish and Wike could have been hit too.

Crime in Nigeria is massively under-reported. If crime was accurately reported in Nigeria, you for think say na war zone you dey. Worsestill we no get database to even track historical crime data.

Dayo wen dey advocate for citizens to start carrying guns for Nigeria neva sabi wetin him dey ask for. Nigerians when sabi beef themselves over the silliest thing. Something as simple as I pass my neighbor generator fit lead to gun violence/ death. Nigeria when people dey look for ways to oppress the next man. Poor man dey even oppress man wen poor pass am..

many are mad, few are roaming is apt for the US

still, i do think there is justification for owning guns in rural and exurban US
in the cities, the cons somewhat begin to outweigh the pros

After a while people will re orientate themselves and behave accordingly. When you first got to the US too, you had to learn and correct yourself on how to behave day to day. E.g If you dey play ball and your ball enters your neighbors compound in Nigeria you simply scale the fence to go pick it, In US, you go knock on your neighbors door and ask for permission to go and pick it.

When you look at the way Nigeria is right now where the criminals have unrestricted access to kill anyone at will. Nigeria without guns do you think we are not having more deaths per capita daily that US with guns

In the last few weeks I have been seeing videos on what people in most part of the country are going through especially NW, NE, NC their lives cannot be worse if guns are legalized for everyone. A place where they will know bandits are coming and they cannot do anything to defend themselves

A country without strong institutions should allow citizens to carry weapons? We when our institutions strong small dey struggle with guns, na Nigeria.

Nigerians will supervise themselves on the use of weapons and naturally reorientate themselves? Baba, you are asking for mass killing beyond what we are seeing now.

What we are seeing in Nigeria is already chaos especially in the North and middle belt but the only thing is that the criminals have unrestricted access I will even say Govt approved ammunition but the civilians are the ones disarmed. (Like Xmas chicken waiting for their turn)

Bandits will come to a village, spend 3hours killing and march almost 300 people into the bush unchallenged

The criminals currently have a monopoly of arms and decide where to attack. If bandit do a broadcast and say we are going to this village tomorrow and give them a pre warning, there is nothing they can do but to wait for their fate

The only way you escape harm is if the criminals become born again or have mercy on you. Like the bandits in Eruku that heard the sweet voice of Bayo Onanuga and released their victims

Waiting for police is a waste of time. cos the attacks are happening in like 100 places concurrently

Na National Anthem Bayo sing to the bandits in Eruku when cast spell on them to release the victims.

You will end up giving guns to criminal elements who will inevitably cause my issue. Arming citizens in a developing nation without strong institutions is a recipe for total break down.

The one we dey right now what is it? Is this not total breakdown already? I guess because some people in the South are still able to function we ignore until it gets to our door

More than Half of the country is in a state of war. currently, In the last 7 days about 1000 students have been reported kidnapped. Do you realize several states have canceled schools? By the time we wake up tomorrow another set will be shot and/or kidnapped. The Kwara folks were released on Sunday evening, By Monday another Batch have been kidnapped in the same Kwara. Na like rotation

People in Kwara, Niger, Benue, Zamfara Katsina Kebbi who cant sleep will be wishing guns was legalized and they can at least shoot back when 50 bandits sack a town of 5000 and they are powerless to do anything

We obviously have a policing issue that needs to be addressed. We have the resources to address the deficit in officers and weapons. We need to totally revamp our security systems/ structure. This restructuring can be done in phases. Arming citizens is not going to work.

We have been talking all these "Dogo maganna" (long English) for how many years almost my entire lifetime and how many people don die in the process while it gets worse, How many people have been chased from their hometown.

While we are revamping and fixing the deficit, Another hundreds to thousand to go before this year end and we simply shrug and move on.

Not mental issue. They are spoilt.

You see how kids from wealthy homes behave over here sometimes. They can resort to breaking things when they dont have their way..and excuses will be made to exonerate them of any wrong doing.

This is what Americans are. They are too pampered..and quickly act out of order over trivial issues. Then some people will start making excuses..then throw "mental health" in the mix...the agressor will feel vindicated.

Giving guns/ weapons to citizens to secure/ safeguard themselves is what led to the proliferation of weapons in the SE and subsequent intimidation and reign of terror. Guns ended up in wrong hands.

We have an extremely weak institutions, particularly the judiciary and that is a big problem for me. We need to a strategic long term plan that addresses policing in Nigeria. It can be achieved in phases first with aggressive recruitment and improvement of their wages, benefit.

In the SE dont you think its because the criminals have guns but the law abiding ones do not?

You join bandit, UGM, kidnappers you get guns easily, But you can be an upstanding citizen to get gun they will ask for your intestine and your grandmothers church baptismal pictures

Criminals easily get guns, even ordinal 16yr old Uni cult boys dey get guns. Its always the law abiding regular citizens that are prohibited from having guns from legal channels but if you go to the area boys at your bus stop they will get you a gun within 3 days. This mean we are just deceiving ourselves by not legalizing guns in Nigeria, the statement should we that law abiding regular citizens are banned from having guns only criminals can

With hunger and poverty biting hard, previously good citizens, including millions of unemployed and underemployed youths will resort to crime. There is a mental power that comes with having a weapon. Having access to guns will not solve their economic realities which is a primary trigger. Imagine make NURTW workers come dey carry gun for Lagos to demand “Owo Union” from danfo conductor and driver?

Federal government bans open grazing in Nigeria

https://www.nairaland.com/8569144/nigerian-govt-bans-open-grazing

This what everyone expected Buhari to have done, but his nepositic and tribal filiation would not allow him take the bold step. He was just deferring to Miyetti Allah at the expense of people's lives

He was stupiidly suggesting RUGA expecting people to give out their own lands to livestock farmers.

Now Tinubu government is saying anybody that wants to do livestock farming should embrace ranching which is the way to go. This is commendable from Tinubu's government

With this ban, we should no longer see cows roaming cities or invading farm lands.

A Cow is about 1.2 million now....

Someone is herding up to 20 or more of it, and that person cannot afford to lease acres of land for his cattle to graze..

Then he enters someone's farm and destroy the crops...

Do you know how many plots of land you go till, to sell crops and get 1.2 million naira?

We play too much in this country

Yeah, enforcement has always been our issues with laws in this country.

I hope the government will follow this announcement up with further updates on what the penalty/punishment will be for anybody caught openly grazing cows either in public space or on someone else's landed property.
