Some days, you look at certain Corpers and wonder where they pull their strength from. Teaching alone is already a full-time battle the lesson plans, the noise, the constant pressure to give your best. Yet this particular Corper still finds the energy to rehearse Christmas carols with his students after closing hours.

Watching him guide those kids, correcting their notes, sharing laughs, building their confidence it hits differently. It reminds you that genuine dedication still exists. Not because it’s easy, but because some people carry a quiet fire that keeps them going, regardless of stress or exhaustion.

If you’ve ever met a Corper like this, you know they don’t do it for applause. They do it because someone has to light the spark in those children and they’re willing to be that person.

During my corp member days, I no try at all. I served in Ekiti but all my interests are in Lag - My mum, my bf then, now hubby, my siblings, the church everything! I'd spend 2 weeks in Ekiti then 2 months in Lagos. My principal was tired of my absenteeism and my Zonal inspector too. I could disappear for 3 whole months. My batch members don't even know me. Na hide and seek I do take collect my discharge certificate.

This is one of the schools Otti claimed over 85B for renovations.

Otto is the biggest scam of the Millenium, imagine schools he claimed to have spent over billions on, see board and classroom

Your ZI was a nice person. If you tried this with my ZI in Kano in 2006, you go redo the entire service year.

You could dissappear but you see that attendance marking day ehnn, you must be there ooo.

That guy was tooo principled no body dared cross him.

I did my entire year there oo. Even easter and Christmas. Only left when the students were on mid term holidays.

I had only one regret though.

Sunday school teacher I do. Teach carol taya, Christmas for those of us from solid homes is a beehive of activities.

Drama dey, carol, we 3 kings, Bethlehem play, 12 days of Christmas and a partridge in a pear tree !! Name it !! Till date if I enter kids school I go be father Christmas I do that one taya

Every time I remember my NYSC days, I feel like going for service. But to go back to that village now won't be a willing choice cos bandits have taken over.
