Retire with 60m.
How is it possible
Fix the 60 million in an investment bank. Receieve 12 million yearly as internet and your 60 million will still be intact.

Ask the bank to pay you the 12 million monthly @1 million per month. At retirement, I presume you don't have any children still going to school.

Lmao @ this south african asking this question

The truth is African countries as a whole are in a mess right now

Why you guys seem to not feel the heat is because of the BEE plus other social security nets available to U guys which is good

In Nigeria, govt doesn't care about you
Me asking this question wasn't at all implying South Africa was perfect.. we have our problems too, its the mass exodus of your people that is a bit jarring to me ngl.. The other day I saw a Nigerian man celebrating a Candian visa with balloons and all.. it kinda put things into perspective

For real bro? Even if husband and wife are both working they won't save up 60m ? Omo.
try check YouTube for one video like that about one lady that complained his husband removed her from CSO and had been given 60days to vacate UK.
When the said guy that escaped UK back to 9ja was given his own account of what happened, and how much both himself and the wife earn monthly that it could not pay for all the monthly bills. He need to be removing from the cash he made a deal he had in nigeria.na that time I know say UK isn't really easy but I think it's still better than Nigeria Sha especially those in professional work.
The guy man said his salary was 1500 monthly and that of his wife was I think he said 800pounds monthly and the addition could not cater for the monthly bills.
Everywhere dey face em challenge oo

It's not worth it.....
Please don't sell your inheritances to move to UK...
UK of all places isn't worth such ...
Move to other countries New Zealand Ireland or Australia.... Canada is still ok ...
Leave UK for now

The difference again is that there is ZERO social safety nets in Nigeria

its every man for himself

That's the reality, man must survive

Make people dey do small research b4 giving us their confabulated lie story.

U can't live in a one room apartment with kids in the UK. It's not allowed.
Social service will come in.
The Landlord who rented the apartment to the family will be in serious trouble.

Lol.
You are funny.

In UK, there is a system. Yea, you will work like Jackie and your finances use in aiding taxes, but every infrastructure there supports you. You dont need to be very rich there.

In Nigeria, an average citizen who is a millionaire will still suffer, because no support from anywhere.

You know nothing
UK also suffers from
1. In small measure
2. Inflation in uk is high too
3. Healthcare in uk is in a state od commatose
4. Just fair, not excellent
5. Hahahaha corruption in uk is second to none.

He will forever regret his decision.

When you warn people before travelling, most will not listen.

They think Oyinbo streets are paved with gold. His kids would suffer the most as they will now go to their State schools filled with lots of bad boys and bullies. They won't be attending private schools there. They are going from having their own rooms to the entire family sharing a room, and in a rough neighbourhood.
Use your brain, that's why the story is a lie.
A family can't rent one bedroom apartment in the UK. It's not allowed, the landlord will be in big trouble if social service get to know about their living condition

The story is a pure confabulation.

Not really. If he can get a good after his education, he can buy another house with 6-10 months savings. Take for instance, the minimum wage for salaried workers here in California is $68,000. Of course we know there are bills to pay, but if him save, one to two year savings go buy am Nice bungalow for some nice location in Lagos.

What is he doing in the UK(job, skills)?

Secondly, he didn't planned well.
bigpicture001:
This is not true ooo... U can't live in the UK with 2 kids in one room...

But this same thing happened to my guy..

He moved to the UK, Ireland specifically, and sold his house in lag... He he has three kids ND rented an apartment, a flat, the rent was very high ND he went for a mortgage instead, the calculations was 32 years at his income rate with his wife.... So he sold the house to bring it closer to 11 years..

Now, abroad wife don enter the wife.. sh has started misbehaving, he is so confused cus his pay alone can't foot the bill of the household and still pay mortgage...

Guy is now lean ND full of marital complaints

I would put it in Treasury Bills or borrow it to different loan apps. I only survive with the interest which is 15% each year. So each year I get ₦9m

I am not extravagant. ₦700k a month is more than enough (especially as no transportion cost to work)... Of course, if their is any small side-hustle, I would invest wisely. Lay back and relax.
That’s fine but don’t forget the new tax bill in your calculation. If only we have a stable system, planning ahead in Nigeria is a risky venture with too many victims over the past decades. Things can change within a blink in Nigeria.

These are some subtle things within specific systems that easily bust the lies of our people.
They will come up with stories just to feel better. The way they talk down on the UK, you would think they all live in some exclusive estate in Abuja or in Banana Island, some do but most are just banking on hope and benevolence of others including dole out from abroad. Shishi no dey grin

People just get killed at will. The rate of ritual killings, armed robbery, banditry,Bokoharam,Iswap and bad politicians making everything tough for people.

Since this govt came in,many people went from being average to poverty and many are still being plunged into unexpected financial troubles as a result of bad policies.

Let them go and ease off.

Do you know how much inflation would have further damaged the value of the naira in 3 to 5 years from now?

What will be the worth of the 150 million naira in 3 to 5 years from now?

Better with a peace of mind and knowing the children have a future, than staying in the whole house in Lagos without sense of direction and what would be the future of your children. Whether Nigeria will keep existing by Next year 2026. Let him secure the safety of his family first, put those kids in British school in London, same international school that wealthy Nigerians pay £10,000 to put their children in Lagos or Abuja.

He made the right decision. Secure your family first. All your National Assembly members and Governors don keep their family overseas. Let him keep his own too.

So he moved to UK with 30K Pounds!

If he can access a mortgage fast enough...put 20k down payment and rather than pay 750 towards rent, he is paying off his mortgage.

What thing with Nigerian is that they want to eat their cake and have it.

Migrating to other countries is good when done with ones purpose.

A lot of us toil year round trying to acquire wealth that are not necessarily good for our soul.

What am trying to say is do whatever that makes you happy & peace without offending your voisine.
