Exactly seven days after over 300 students were abducted from St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri in Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, bandits have launched another deadly attack in Palaita community, Erena Ward, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

They abducted 24 people, including a pregnant woman, from a rice farm and chopped off the hand of a blind man.

The bandits also attacked a community in Abuja, and kidnapped six girls and a boy.

How bandits kidnapped 24 in Niger

A source in the community said the attackers struck at about 2:00pm on Wednesday while residents were harvesting their crops.

Despite Palaita being only five kilometres from a military base in Erena, the bandits reportedly escaped with the victims before security personnel could respond.

This is another sad news, these bandits are everywhere kidnapping poor innocent people, is it a crime to be poor?

Government should stop pampering these monsters and go after them with full force

Bandits/terrorists need information to operate.

Who are the informants?

Bandits/terrorists need guns, bullets and machetes.

Who are the suppliers?

Bandits/terrorists need hard drugs.

Who are the suppliers?

Evans, the kidnapper, was living in a wealthy neighbourhood and had children in Ghana. His boys carried out the operations on his behalf. Bandits/terrorists work for higher-ups in the society.

Who are the higher-ups?

What the Evans incident showed is that kidnapping for ransom is a paying business. Many businessmen are now involved.

Who are the businessmen?

President Tinubu, look inwards at security agencies, politicians, religious leaders, influential men and women, foreigners doing illegal mining, and you'd find the arrowheads of terrorism in Nigeria.

Until you weed them off, the battle against terrorism would fail.

Op shebi These islamist Terrorists have been Proscribed as TERRORIST!!

Why are you still tagging them bandits?

Let me educate you and perhaps others here.

Bandit - One who ROBS others in a LAWLESS area, especially as part of a group.

Terrorist - person, group, or organization that uses violent action, or the threat of violent action, or kill, or kidnap to further political goals.

Please note the difference. These people are TERRORISTS not Robbers.

"Despite Palaita being only five kilometres from a military base in Erena, the bandits reportedly escaped with the victims"

Just IMAGINE. cry

It's getting incredibly interesting by the day. The same template the man who occupied the seat of power now and his cohorts used in 2013 leading to the election is being used again.

Before he realises what hit him he's already booted out of power. That was what they did to Jonathan.

Karma is real.

Killings and kidnapping have become a daily dose to Nigerians. Sometimes you hear these bad news and you just swipe to the next news like it's nothing. It is really messing up our humanity

If the northern governors knows that they are not complicit in this menace, they should form a state security outfit, unfortunately none of them is talking about it,they are even at the forefront of the battle against state police

Tinubu is the President. The Police, Army, DSS, Civil defense and other security agencies are under him. His incompetence caused the rise in insecurity.

How can you leave the Commander in charge of Armed forces and be blaming Governors who can not even order a Police Commissioner in their State. Not to talk of the Army Commanders.

Do we really have a Government with all these senseless kidnappings and killings by terrorists a.k.a. bandits?

It is clearly evident that our security operatives are highly compromised, we need external help or internal help via militants and mercenaries to face this terrorists heads on.

Niger Delt Militants that are already benefiting from Federal Government Amnesty must be activated to face the terrorists a.k.a. bandits and wipe them out to justify their paychecks.

We need strategies that work to dislodge the terrorists

Start by listing the names and faces of their leadership for all and let them know they are marked. Take them out 1 by 1 if they refuse to surrender,

Israel did it and that way sending messages to everyone not to accept leadership of terrorist groups

Uniquely targeting them with modern technology may be the way out,Nigerian leadership should leverage on Nigerians in diaspora for tech support if need be, it's a new age battle strategy must evolve with the times
