This same IG in that picture up there wey I jam for hotel and he carry like 100 policemen come to protect him and him family for the hotel. The policemen blocked all access to everywhere in the hotel anytime the man and him family wan waka to go chop or go swimming pool.

Even to enter the gate of hotel, the policemen go quiz you and search you like criminal all because one man carry him family to come lodge.

Him and the policemen wey he carry come protect am must have collected almost all the rooms there. Guess who was paying the hotel bills? Yes, the tax payers angry

Very true.

The Prseident need to rejig the Security Architecture in and around him.

His son moves in a convoy with Policemen swarming likes bees around him

I once ran into his daughter convoy some two years ago and offhand I could see nothing less than 15 Policemen as escorts.

When in some Towns, the Police presence is not even up to 5 personnel.

We need to do more if we are serious with this banditry and insecurity issues.

Has nothing to do with south or north, tribe or religion, everyone bleeds the same should one be unfortunate enough to encounter a terrorist, are you happy as many as ten policemen are securing a public office holder, his kids and family members? Even distant cousins? You're happy how an emergency line to call for help doesn't exist in Nigeria? And how the armed forces, especially the police respond to cases of terrorism and armed robbery after the deed has been done because they have no fuel in their trucks?
Let the streets be secure, and there'll not be a need for a convoy that is not done covering 100 metres in 10 minutes, all lives are equal, you cannot hide behind armoured vehicles bought and fueled by the state, manned by special security forces whose salaries are also paid the state, while you have an unfettered access to the states treasury to fill your own coffers and cannot relate with the experiences of the common man, the taxpayer, his sweat shielding you from his everyday woes.

The president, VP, governors & deputy, CJN, Senate President and Speaker HoR should have police while it should be totally withdrawn for every member of the NASS.

I understand bro and I agree with you. I am also in support of the withdrawal of police from the Vips to help secure the country. What I am not happy about is hypocrites trying to paint themselves as saints. This same Ndume has been a senator since 2011 representing Borno South. What has he done or achieved as a senator since 2011? His state remains the most dangerous state in Nigeria today and he held on to power since 2011 without doing much to end the insurgency or allow someone else to take that mantle. He isn't in the position to advise we Nigerians

please, spare us the selective outrage. You Tinubu supporters don’t have the moral compass or justification to make these kinds of comments. Let’s not pretend history started yesterday. Tinubu, a southerner, was at the very forefront of criticizing and maligning Goodluck Jonathan, another southern president. He sponsored protests, funded and fuelled civil disobedience, and even called for Jonathan’s resignation.

So if criticism suddenly becomes deaf and dumb only when it’s inconvenient for you, that’s your hypocrisy talking, not logic. Keep the same energy you had when your own political hero was the one shouting his lungs out and leading protests against Goodluck Jonathan

Every year you get billions in security pay pack you looted it all and govt still paying the police following you every where that alone is a criminal offense defrauding the tax payers so pls use that security billions to go and hired your own private security and pay them or wait for kidnapper to catch you pls choose one.

Police are to do civil duties not VIP duties for those who ruined our country.

Many of these terrible leaders are like that, I do not believe a thing they say, this is most probably the senator attempting to gain cheap popularity, play with the emotions of Nigerians, workings of another term, another office. All of these leaders have to go, what Nigeria needs isn't recycling the same leaders every election year and expecting different results, all of them from PDP, APC, ADC are birds of a feather, all criminals and pests of the state.
A lot needs to happen for Nigeria to work for Nigerians, and this i do not think is possible with the current political structure, maybe one day Nigeria will work, but that day isn't coming soon, not when those who have been on the political stage since the begining of the Nigerian state's decline are still forming new coalitions promising change, or even still in positions where their endorsement of another politician still carries weight, We need to wake up, it pains me seeing how many Nigerians live, life shouldn't be like this.
