A group of suspected armed robbers were captured on CCTV attempting to break into a residential property before abruptly abandoning their mission after a gunshot was heard nearby.

Good.. They ran away, lives saved, properties secured..No police investigations for the murder and armed robbery that would have taken years and still yielded nothing..

You see why government must allow well-meaning individuals to have guns in their houses?

Once you are a professional with a verifiable source of income, and probably a family man, you should be allowed to have a gun in your house for protection against these criminals..

Infact, protecting yourself should be made mandatory by law.

I have found myself in this situatuation before. When armed robbers were hitting the door repeatedly attempting to enter, walking around the house. Na that day respect naija police.
I remembered that my dad always kept the number of dpo of the closest police station on the wall of his room. I tore the paper off, called, and to my surprise the dpo picked on the first call. He asked for my address after I explained. He said good, my boys will be there. Within 5min police siren blew, then the robbers ran away.

Kudos to magodo isheri police. Although they asked me to pay to lodge the complain the next day which I knew was illegal

Assuming most of them in that neighborhood are armed, do you think they will dare it?

There is a a reason no one can enter from house to house in america to attack people when many people have guns at home

The reason Fulani will block road in Nigeria or enter from house to house is because they know majority are unarmed…
There’s no way there won’t be extra caution if this robbers and terrorists know that people get machines for house
