Not to bore you with my story.

1. The rate of insecurity in Nigeria is alarming.

2. It's more than 3 years since I traveled home to see my mum. I intend to travel this year, but I had to cancel that plan because our roads are no longer safe.

3. We cannot sleep well at night because nobody knows what will happen next because of these Jihadists.

4. I earn almost 1M per month.

5. My skills are: Website design and development, data analytics, defensive cyber security, GIS, I am also conversant with PHP, MySQL, MySQL Workbench, HTML5, on and off-page SEO and others.

My first degree is in Geography and Planning and I have masters degree in Environmental Resource Management.

So my question is, is it wise for me to resign, sell my properties and Japa?

If I Japa, what my chances of survival in Europe?

I just clocked 40 this year. I got three kids. 🤦🏼‍♂️

My brother, at 40 years, is it possible to start all over again and succeed in Europe?

So many thoughts running through my mind.

Do not relocate brotherly, don't mind all those kiddos above me.

There is insecurities everywhere even in the almighty America with daily mass shootings, infact some Nigerian cities are much safer than some American cities.

At 40 years you want to leave your 1m per month job in Nigeria to go and be washing plates per hr?

Travel by Air to see your mum.

Avoid interstate travels,if you must travel ensure you get your vehicle bulletproofed.

Better still get a licensed gun to deal with fvcking baga on the road. grin

I recently met someone who came back from the UK and what he told me was if I earn above 500k in Nigeria there's no reason to travel dow here.

If you're able to save 500k per month after expenses please save up and invest soonest you'll travel on vacation if you invest wisely.

Osun, ogun, lagos and some part of Nigeria is really cool to live.

1m naira per month is a cool cash however with your level of skills you qualify for crucial skills visa in most advanced countries . Insecurity is in everywhere but the level of insecurity in Nigeria is alarming . I have been to few countries in Europe and travel within Schengen countries via bus the night ,the safety is 100% rate . Relocating with your children will give them advantage to learn in a more conducive environment. More importantly, you stand a chance to get a second passport.
To test the waters , you don't need to resign from your job ,you don't need to sell any property. What you need to do now is start applying for jobs online through different platforms. It maybe tedious process but some countries offer sponsorship jobs . Apply for remote jobs through this platform you get network
Having a second passport is a life changer

You don't need to resign before you travel . You have the needed skills to survive abroad ,search for jobs and apply . Once you have a job offer visa is guaranteed. Until you receive your visa continue to do your 1m naira Job

6million might not be bad if it's not static. Investing and roll over on the long run.

Peace of mind and been contented is bigger than we can ever imagine.
