Amoto94:It's a shame that it's the insurgents making the attempt to attack against our revered military. No wonder this problem hasn't gone away. Very shameful. It's not a victory, it's an embarrassment |

CrystalTiger:The anywhere belly face priest Under his very eyes Deborah was lynched This disgraced hypocrite is the reason why Christians live in fear in the north. That's because he gets brown envelopes from his islamic Ful-ani masters. He is even going against the view of the Pope Unless he repents quickly, the blood of Deborah and all the priests kidnapped and killed will haunt him for life till he enters HF |

semid4lyfe:Exactly💯. Why must they even attempt to match their UK/US biggest cash-out pay from a one-off 9ja show, knowing their local fans are way poorer? And their entourage is mostly 9ja-based right? So that alone should reduce their cost as lower flight tickets, wages to the event security/personnel, and other miscellaneous expenses should be lower in 9ja vs UK/US? Except that the organisers (Flytime) are just being way too greedy with their profit margin, the ticket pricing is pure nonsense —no justification at all for such high fees. I even tried to book Asake's own immediately they announced it, but they conveniently only showed VIP (300K for a standing ticket) and VVIP, no option for regular tickets. It's just weird that your own local fans (who helped push your platform) can not afford to see their faves even once a year for a reasonable fee. Says enough of 9ja exploitation culture. The shows might be a flop cos how will they get 5-6K Lagosians/Nigerians to pay 250K, 120K, 120K, 300K, 250K for back2back Rema, Flavour, Olamide, Asake, and Davido shows in concurrent days (Dec 21-25)? Except they will later sell the regular tickets closer to the dates after exhausting their VIP/VVIP sales. |

BlueRayDick:The thing is these our artistes, who have gone international are not grateful enough. They shpuld learn to give back to home where the journey began. I mean they shouldnt even be looking at Naija shows as a profitable business anymore. They just have to see it as a way of appreciating the market that pushed them to the top. Bring down the charhes and allow local fans who wants to enjoy the show to be able to attend. The amass much streamings on all platforms because of the local fans. They mostly perform abroad these days and charge juicy amounts. But back home should be different. After all, they are aware of the economic hardship these criminal administration have brought upon their fans. Peoples purchasing power have been suffocated. Them never see money to eat good food, pay bills or buy good clothes, na 250k to watch miming and one artiste jumping and shouting 1 2 3, while pouring them water |

Ibime:You're absolutely right and on point, and articulated the situation a lot better than I could manage. Burna does maybe like 50-60 dates a year. He did like 6 UK shows this year, and is doing a 30 leg tour of North America. If Money dey Naija market , he wouldnt be waiting for Detty December to do a one-off. I've seen Burna pack out the national stadium of France. - I was there. Unless he wants to do free show for Charity, which crowd with which funds is going to bring that kind of money. Same thing with Rema, I was in Barcelona in August where Rema did a random show in a Patk and ticket was €80 for a Sunday afternoon, on the Friday he had been performing at a festival in Gothenborg Sweden, that I was also supposed to be at. These guys don't need to do shows in Naija, and any promoter that books them will have to beg for them to slash the rates, for the chance of even finding a margin to project. The only incentive for Burna and Co to do a Naija show is to project dominance in their homebase during the increasingly famous cultural phenomenon that Detty December as before |

Emaprince:I think the show promoters are sometimes the problem. I may be wrong, but most of these shows are packaged by show promoters like Flytime entertainment who put everything together from getting the major artiste to headline the show, pay supporting acts and arrange for logistics and lodgings. I think the need for those show promoters to do all that and still make their own profit may be driving those prices up the roof. Still on still, the prices are just too ridiculous for the kind of performance those guys will put out. Me I no too dey go overnight shows and clubbing Sha, so maybe that is one of the reasons I feel I can never pay close to that amount to deprive myself sleep to be watching them mime a song I have listened to 100 times in the comfort of my house. As I like Olamide reach, I will never pay that amount for regular ticket for his shows even if I am swimming in money. |
