Hello, good afternoon. I am in a relationship with someone who is based in Belgium, and she is inviting me over for a visit in a few months. Please, I want to know the steps to take in getting a visiting visa for Belgium and the necessary documents. I will be getting my passport in a few days. I have looked up the embassy online, but I see so many strange things. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi, please is this the full list of documents? Because compared to other Schengen country application it’s not much. Others would request cover letter, previous visas, itenerary, hotel, ticket etc for instance.
Also what would you say is sufficient to prove ties to home if I’m not married? Thank you.

That was the last time I checked.o You need to note that Immigration policy changes everyday. So you need to check for the updated one.

Meanwhile if you have a permanent job or landed properties, it could prove ties back home.

My question is will I be deported back to Portugal by the Spanish Immigration due to my Nigerian passport, hope I won't have a challenge at the Spanish border.

You will be deported back to Nigeria as you are a Nigerian and not Portuguese.

nobody will deport you, this is Schengen visa and you can using all over the 26 countries without issue. Assume to reply incase they asking where you want to stay in Spain at least get hotel name or simply booking but notes that 95% nobody will ask you nothing. May God assist you for your stay here in spain

Just go with hotel itinerary and where ever you tell the Spanish immigration that you want to visit make sure it is not far from your hotel that you paid for to avoid raising red flags
