Yesterday, Port Harcourt witnessed one of the biggest pet events in Africa as the Kennel Club of Rivers (KCR) successfully hosted its annual Dog Walk — an event that has now become a major gathering for dog lovers across the South-South, South-East and beyond.

This year’s edition was nothing short of remarkable.
The event brought together over 400 dog owners, lovers, breeders, trainers, veterinarians, pet shops, and kennel clubs from Rivers, Imo, Bayelsa, Delta, Abia, and beyond.

Held in partnership with top dog food brands, veterinary clinics, shampoo manufacturers, and pet accessory companies, the dog walk featured:

- Free vaccinations & health checks
- Education on responsible dog ownership & ethical breeding
- Training tips, mentorship & networking
- Games and competitions
- Giveaways including premium dog food and accessories
- The atmosphere was lively, colourful, and filled with community spirit.

It was truly one of the biggest and most impactful pet events in Port Harcourt this year.

I love dogs but this time I don't have time to raise and feed dogs.dogs are the most loving,loyal and self less animals and I don't want a situation when I won't have time to care for it.aside that dogs helps during morning exercises. If you train them well they are helpful in waking you up 6am for morning exercises. Even exercises excites them so at least they serve as a good motivator for exercising. If you now tell them not today you will see how they'll feel bad.some will not even let you rest they wk disturb you until you stand up.at least I can trust them as good motivators for waking up,exercise and loyalty than any human being

Hope they participants,where lectured by veterinary doctors,about there dogs health and breeding for those who breed dogs too?
