remi4ever:Pure guard is dexron VI which is a good substite for Honda Z1. Of course modern Honda transmission are to use dw1 but for an old car like mine, an 8th generation civic, I know the transmission was produced to be used with Honda Z1 fluid for which the pure guard substitutes. |

Djdamian:Very nice, I don't really drive her like that except on Sundays and once in a month to and fro Lagos-Ibadan. I use Mobil 3000 5w-40 fully synthetic. In a year I do service twice and do not exceed 3000km on oil change though I don't follow the 3months interval some people recommends. I may not even drive up to the 3,000km but it's usually near that before I do another oil change. My last 2 services were Nov. 9th, 2024 and the current oil still in the engine was put there July 17th 2025 and I've not even driven up to 2000km on it. Oil life still at 70%

zed7:Hope you know internet can be misleading at times, this is what I saw when I searched 2014 CR-V tpms... And it doesn't look like wheel speed sensor. You don't have to blame people for asking questions on forums.

Good morning everyone, I scanned my 2009 Honda Accord EX 2.4L K24Z3 engine with an OBDII... These are the results. Prior to that I noticed that my car had poor acceleration especially when I turned on the AC. Along the line it started burning my AC compressor. I got tired and decided to forget about the AC, but now I want to fix the AC coz of the dry season. Now I noticed my car consumes fuel, and also has low compression. Please guys what can I do to fix these problems

| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by calculation(m): 2:21pm On Dec 06, 2025 |
raphroye:Some naration is missing. Do you or someone in the past work on the engine? Was the vehicle bought Nigerian used? How do come to conclusion that the engine compression is low with out test result. Based on your complain above and scan results, there is problem within the timing system. If you have sound technical mechanic, proper check need to be carry out on engine. |

I worked on the engine last year December...i changed the piston rings and crankshaft calculation: |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by calculation(m): 2:57pm On Dec 07, 2025 |
raphroye:That might be your source of problem. Is like timing is gradually going off mark. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by raphroye: 3:16pm On Dec 07, 2025 |
Do you think the problem will be solved if I get the timing set? calculation: |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by calculation(m): 9:40am On Dec 08, 2025 |
raphroye:You need to verify if timing is off. To resolve a problem in vehicle many suspected parts need to be verify. In your case, I had similar issue in the past. |

Good day engineers in the house, what could be the cause of oil leak at the front passenger side, I noticed the oil drops on the passenger tyre wheel, and there's reduction in power steering oil. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Louiscars: 10:50pm On Dec 09, 2025 |
rapheal5:Therein lies your fault, needs physical inspection to confirm where the leak is coming from the power steering |

Hello good evening chiefs. I'm planing on carrying out engine repairs on my Honda accord 2006 4 cylinder K24 A. The main problems are engine smoking and very poor gas mileage. No driveability issues just that I'd like to restore the engine life (currently at 170k miles). What I've found so far: 1. Greyish smoke on cold start that reduces after engine warms up, also happens when revving at idle. Exhaust pipe is greasy black - No CatCon, no 02 sensor either upstream or downstream. 2. Recurrent misfire in cylinders 3 and 4 despite swapping ignition coil and changing spark plugs (I usually replace both everytime the code returns). Spark plug 3 has moderate oily carbon buildup on the tip, while cylinder 4 spark plug mostly has dry carbon residue. No oil on any of the ignition coil 3. Excessive oil burn - sometimes **UP TO 2L PER 80 MILES**. 4. Coolant (water) level is not concerning. 5. PCV valve is venting the crankcase very well - negative pressure at oil cap 6. Compression test not yet done 7. Car idles smoothy at about 1100rpm - done idle relearn twice, no significant change. 8. Car moves reasonably well, accelerates, climbs hills, and changes gear smoothly. Only drops rpm with shuddering when AC is on while on Drive in traffic. Picks up when speed increases. 9. Very poor gas mileage - 12 - 17mpg What I want to fix: 1. Fix engine smoking and service engine 2. Check fuses and relays and fix any broken one 3. Install upstream O2 sensor 4. Install ECT sensor 1 Please I need the contact of any good and reasonably priced ringmaster in Ondo for the engine work. The mechanic that I approached said he can ring it and the engine will work well but it will be vibrating .That's not reassuring for me. So, abeg link me up |

I Temitope2000:Save UpTo 700 to 800k and go buy tokunbo engine for Oyingbo or Ladipo. Use 400 to 500 buy engine the remaining balance for workmanship and your hotel bills. |
| Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Cryomancer: 6:51pm On Dec 14, 2025 |
nurey:This is the best advice for this case. I pray the man listens. Engine rebuilds in Nigeria is just buying an additional 6 months life for the already dead engine. |
