It amazes me how these elites are the ones breaking this simple law. Pay your ground rent and other necessary fees provided for by law. It's that simple.

But NO, they rather default. Some have even be defaulting for 20, 30 years. Wow.
And these fees are peanuts o.
I wonder how these elite defaulters treat their staff and people around them. It's a pity.

I support Minister Wike on this 💯
is senator Ali ndume's name that surprise me the most, the guy that has been forming advocate for better Nigeria, may Na Buhari type

Lolz. No comments until he reallocates those lands. Then and only then will I take Wike seriously. Right now he is only barking. He has been barking since and was roundly ignored. They know that one solution to the madness is to put pressure on Tinubu to remove him as the FCT Minister and everywhere will be quiet. That's all. It may seem that they are just giving him the silence treatment to hurt his feelings and ego grin

Seriously, it's a pity. People like the senator and others on that list should quickly pay that change and be free from all this drama. How much is the money?
It's not up to what they spend on frivolities daily. It's shameful.
If people like that can break the law, wetin common Nigerian wan do? huh

[sup][/sup]What do you suggest should be the penalty after several notices, reminders, warnings, publishing of defaults in national dailies and social media countless times.

Profer a better solution.
Seal premises till payment is done.

Can it be that Wike also forgot that all households need to be supplied with water, despite increasing the tax burden on Abuja residents for revenue growth that is not paid into the TSA account like other federal ministries, departments and agencies?
More bullets oozing out from your armory from Jerusalem and it has hits it's intended targets nawaooo hahaha 🤣

These guys dare not pay ground rents and other government levies over their properties in UK and US. Properties they hardly use for more than two to four weeks in a year. But when it comes to Nigeria, they behave like they are above the law. A lot of them live in Abuja and steal so much from government, why is it difficult for them to pay their fair share of levy back to the same government?

And wike was saying they should call him and discuss land issues so he can see how things can be settled!

The only language that man seems to understand was what transpired between him and AM Yerima. Anything short of that, bulldozers would have brought down the former CNS structure that day.

Let's see how FCDA hopes to explain these high profile seizures in coming days.
Do we really want this country to work?
Can they do that in USA, Germany, Saudi Arabia etc? Wike is write on this

Penalty for non-payment should not be revocation. As of today, most Banks do not accept valid FCT land title document as collateral for loans. They have seen that anything can happen under Wike's leadership
What does the law said?
It should not be about Wile but of laws/system

I don't like Wike's ways however it is wrong for some big names to leave big lands in the centre of Abuja and not develop them. So many bushes and so many empty lands there. Even those they build, they are empty. When there is acute shortage of houses in Abuja

This is a serious issue and I don't know how Wike will survive with this.... He's been stepping on many toes and this has really brought him closer to many hating him even when he's actually doing the right thing.

Many land acquisition in Abuja is through the backyard and many have refused to renew their land documents according to the laws that was established before Wike became the minister.
That's the problem. When you insist the right thing be done, you become the enemy.

Many of the individuals whose titles were revoked have houses outside the shores of nigeria and will obey the land laws of their hosts.

Even God with all he's doing has not been able to please humans, talk less of Wike.

A 2 week ultimately is simply too short.

The motive behind the revocation is the real issue. He might have become vindictive after being humiliated by the young army officer. Wike became the butt of jokes.

Tinubu should Wike him in.

And you are supposed to be educated? With this kind of reasoning? It is a shame. Look at your premise and conclusion. Most of you are not yet ready for the adherence to the rule of law in Nigeria. What does the law, particularly, the Land Use Act say? It is not about your feelings, we are governed by laws.

Any truly educated mind will know the reason for the apprehension is that the banks have now seen that most people do not have valid titles, at least the ones they have been encountering. The banks ought to also conduct due diligence. Take up your issue with any bank to the CBN, if you truly have valid title.

Wike is blameless here, no matter how you hate him. It has nothing to do with "Anything can happen under Wike's leadership." How do you blame the minister for someone not having a valid title? It is a pity.

It would be silly indeed to risk loosing their lands by not paying a fee required by law, because they did not have water

That's the kind of thinking that makes them label africans with generalized low iqs. Doubt that's the case here.

That would be Penny wise pound foolish indeed
