A dear friend of mine who is a female muslim told me a similar thing about herself and i cudnt understand.

She said on religious basis, her brothers are allowed to marry non-muslim but for her she dare not do same, she must marry a musilm

Left to her she can marry a non-muslim but she fear what her family would do.

reading this now, what she said is now making sense to me.

I don't understand why this religion don't treat their female fairly as with the male

This can be traced down to culture more than religion. Most people find it difficult to separate the 2. Most muslim takes on a lot of Arab cultures but you have no idea what these guys were before Islam. They were a lot worse.
