Rictech:[A2] Besides learning Japanese. the other advice is learn JAPANESE. even if it is street Japanese. MOST IMPORTANT Also do more networking by engaging in your hobbies (Soccer, tennis etc ) or learn a new hobby and be apssionate about it. the friends you meet here, discuss your job hunting issues with them, they may have some help or advice. Second advice is have a plan, Japan salaries are crap. Do you want to stay in Japan forever or for a long time? If not , what are your plans to migrate somewhere else say like canada, USA or australia? My humbe 2 cents as always. |

Men I won’t lie it’s been exhausting working so much but I lost so much time in Nigeria. No time to waste anymore. It’s working to death from now on. |

blackbriar:Yes, I followed your advice and updated my LinkedIn location while I was still in Nigeria, before moving to Japan. Thank you very much, blackbriar — I really appreciate it. Would it be okay if we connected outside this platform? tensazangetsu20, do not be offended o, I’m not trying to derail your thread. |

tensazangetsu20:I have followed your thread right from the beginning and it has been nothing short of an inspiration. I'm currently on my nysc and I don't really have any skill id I say I can bank on after the program ends. I have just 6 months left. Advice me like a big bro |
| Re: Memoirs From Chile by tensazangetsu20(op): 5:14pm On Nov 10, 2025 |
Executer:I don’t really give advice anymore. Advice is like clothing. What works for one person won’t work for another. The only thing I can tell you is to research and figure out stuff on your own. |

tensazangetsu20:@ tensazangetsu20 I would like to ask you a question? As a foreigner can you give birth in Chile and get a permanent residence as the parents and your child get a citizenship according to Chilean law..Pls I would like you to speak more about this..Thank you |
| Re: Memoirs From Chile by tensazangetsu20(op): 10:50am On Nov 17, 2025 |
streetwise2015:Chile is different with this. Having a child here doesn’t guarantee you permanent residency. Also for your child to get Chilean nationality, you must have a temporary residency or permanent residency as of when the child is born. |

What surprises me about chile is how the standards are the same everywhere. I live in what you will consider as the Gombe of Chile and the same quality of life you will have in my city is what you will find here. Clean streets. Running water to every home. Orderliness.

tensazangetsu20:Coming from a firsthand experience, your child will get a citizenship in Chile even if you are a tourist but you still need to show some economic sovereignty to be able to get a temporary permit as the parent. It's more better in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina in my opinion. |

I also saw Chilean pesos currency charges tag in decimals/points not comma. I mean like 1.000 to connotes 1,000. Using 1.000 to USD is different rate from 1,000. Do your understand? |

Electric buses. I noticed the buses are being charged on the go. This isn’t the capital of Chile o. This is a tier 3 city by Chilean standards

I don’t think God loves black people walai. The black man is just suffering for nothing. God has favorites and unfortunately the negro race no follow. |

, that is true. Maybe Japanese salaries look small compared to other advanced countries, but coming from Nigeria, they feel huge! I once did a part-time job from 8 to 5 on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and I actually made the same amount as my one-month software developer salary back home. If only that job happened every Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday, I’d be rich by now!
