Fear is what is making people comply with the sit at home, after the brutal killings to enforce it in the early days. Now people are just afraid and being cautious.
It is not love for Nnamdi Kanu, its not belief in Biafra, its not solidarity with Ipob, its just fear.
Same thing is happening up north, when the bandits roll into town, people cheering are doing so out of fear. You need to show that you support them, that you admire them, in the hope they won't turn on you and attack you
Whatever is causing sit at home, your government can't do anything about it same as they cant do anything about rising insecurity

We are doing it with all happiness. Why is bothering SW region. It is called off owerri day or nsala. We sit at home to chop our Money.
We are still better than all region economically.
So stop crying on our behalf
You must be one of Kanu's henchmen who is being paid to violate the right to free movement for an entire population of people already in the throes of an economic recession.

Hopefully you will be rounded up as an accomplice of the life-jailed cult leader Kanu, and with a little luck, you might even qualify to join Kanu in that hellishly hot Sokoto prison.

Why don't u tell us if your region is doing better than SE economically even with the sit at home.Transport union work is not considered as decent job in SE.We are not complaining. The properties of igbos being destroyed in lagos is what is painful to igbos. The sit at home is when we celebrate and chop our money at home. The one day at home is not going to make us as poor as your people. If SE is in economic recession. Then ur region will be already a disaster happening

One can only hope that you are not one of the gunmen that continues to attack innocent people in Igboland despite cult leader Kanu having been booted into his jail cell where had been so long overdue.

If you are one of the henchmen that forces people into their homes at gunpoint, then your actions are those of a terrorist who must be rounded up and tried in court as soon as possible.

Continue living with this sense of insecurity—because sooner or later, you may be required to present special documentation just to move within your own country, as people begin to assume you pose a security risk, much like how certain groups today face automatic suspicion in public spaces.

Now imagine the implications of such policies for a people whose population is widely dispersed beyond their homeland… It would reshape their future, their business prospects, their opportunities, and even the legacies they hope to build. Think.

And if you believe that Igboho has no significant support base in the South-West, you are mistaken. But when push comes to shove, SW people choose to prioritize their long-term future and stability over any momentary sentiments.
You are not in the position to tell us what we want and what is good for us. You don't know anything about our history, our pain, our struggle and our values. The Nigerian state as it stands is not fair to the Igbos. We want to take our destiny into our hands. The Nigerian state does not guarantee justice and equity. It was not created to succeed
It was created to serve the interest of those who created it. As long as it continues to serve that interest to detriment of the people, she can NEVER progress. Igbo are hardworking, intelligent and egalitarian. We only ask for an environment where we can progress to our full potential. The Nigerian state as it stands does not guarantee that.

All the rubbish u wrote does not answer the questions I raised. Why is the sit at home in another region affected ur region is another question.

Yoruba adage says " ti a ba ran omo ni ise eru, a fi ti omo je, meaning if you as a freeborn, is sent on an " assignment that is normally reserved for the slaves ", the onus is on you as a freeborn, to use your discretion, to execute such assignment responsibly, so as not to bring trouble upon yourself.
Nigeria belongs to so many ethnic nationalities, why is it only Igbo that is having problem with other ethnic groups in Nigeria?.
Igbos were once in position of power in this country, were they fair in their dealings with other Nigerians?.
The records are there, a man said it of recent, that way back when Igbos dominate the police force, their wives will deliberately look for trouble and their husbands will come and arrest the victims grin grin grin., this was really funny, but still an abuse of power.
Were the people of Niger Delta under the control of Igbos pre colonisation?, if not then forget your so called self rule 'cause the people of the Niger Delta will not willingly submit themselves to Igbo subjugation.
they understand your pain, they understand your desperate Igbo desire to have your country, but can there be an Igbo country without an access to the sea?.
The people who could offer such access said they are not Igbos, this is the crux of the matter.
It is not hate, it is self preservation, and I hope you guys understand.
You guys needs to stop playing the victim, and stop issuing out threats.
You guys should just live and let others live.

I was born and raised in Outer Mongolia BUT any human rights violation that occurs ANYWEHRE in this world is my business because if I remain silent, I could be next on the wrong end of a gun.

Your concern is my concern, just as your freedom to move about is MY freedom to move about, potentially.

Fair enough, but you must understand that life does not grant wishes; you’ve to work it out, and in this case, politically—with as little collateral damage as possible. The starting point is electing leaders from amongst you who’ll prioritize your desire to leave the country. If you can’t get that right, you’ll suffer much more under self-rule.

Election in Nigeria is a charade. It's is part of what is wrong with Nigeria. The system we operate is not progressive and not sustainable. If elections in Nigeria were free and fair, at least half of Nigeria's problem would have been solved.

The Niger Delta is a region. There are Igbos amongst them. As long as every Igbo man in Nigeria is given the opportunity to determine it's fate and future through a referendum, I am ok with that.

My government or the government? What is with people and tribes in this country? Anything, people want to take sides about their tribe. Oga, I'm not interested in your myopic tribal squabbling. My comment was purely about the psychological responses driving compliance and obedience to non state actors.
If there were no killings to enforce sit at home in the early days, even you will not be complying. Stop fooling yourself with this fake capping that people are complying for overwhelming love for MNK

The separatist cult followers love to pretend that they are stateless, sort of like those deluded law-breakers in America who declare themselves "citizens of the world" who are NOT American, and for whom mundane obligations like passing a driving test and paying taxes are regarded as "optional".

Such "citizens of the world" usually wind up in jail or in a shootout with the cops, sadly. They are great entertainment though, and always good for a laugh.

Thanks for reading all my posts and do have yourself a fabulous day, sir. It has been a pleasure exploring the limits of your tolerance for jest.

Convey my warmest regards to your cult leader Kanu when next you pay him a visit in Sokoto Maximum Security Jail.

Tell him we laugh heartily over videos of his loony ranting in court, as our entertainment on a daily basis, here in beautiful Outer Mongolia.

Look on the bright side, Nigeria is 8th most insecure country on earth. At least these ones can still sit in their homes. There are millions of people sitting in IDP camps all over the North due to insecurity that have lost all hope of ever sitting in their homes, half a million of them in are in Benue State alone. Not that you people ever think about them anyway. The only time you guys remember insecurity is it has to do with the South East

Why should schools be part of that nonsense? Very unfair in my opinion, the children don't need the distraction.

I beg to differ, Oga GiddyGiddy. The anarchy spreading in the north of Nigeria should be a matter of great concern to anyone who lives, visits or has relatives residing in Nigeria. One need only look at the massacres occurring on a daily basis in nearby Sudan, to fathom just how bad things can get while the international community turns a blind eye.

I am not a religious man, but now every day I pray that Uncle Sam will deploy drones to cull all terrorist gang leaders and their henchmen BEFORE they spread their terror network to engulf the entire nation from the desert to the sea.

Awwww this is so pitiful. Look at a homo sapien rationalising insecurity on the basis of tribe.
The first thing I'll do if I ever get into a position of absolute power is abolish tribes.
You're trying so hard to do the our tribe vs their tribe shallow talk. All because you feel your tribe was attacked by my stating that fear is what is driving compliance to the sit at home?
Well, boy, I made that analysis, because the thread is about that topic.
You can research my take on the northern terrorists or my bashing of the Tinubu's inefficient and corrupt government.
I'm above your childish tribal squabbling. They used that to cage people like you.

Mondays are holidays in the South East.
People relax at home, do street workouts and visit friends and families.

Despite the sit at home, development is spreading like fire in the East.

Civil servants, students, Employees love life in the East because of the sit at home
