A government of eye service soon you will expose yourself
Why ate you so pained and bitter. Are you not happy the government making great efforts to secure his state.

You are among those who will never wish good for others but only rejoice for bad news.

May God have mercy on you.

Enugu to an extent is safe yet the government is investing this much in security then you have bunch of states up north facing serious security challenges and all their governors do is hold senseless meetings upandan wearing big big agbadas and begging the federal government for money.

Nice, but they did not state how long the drone can stay airborne.

What is all these rubbish all about?
Why can't we get tactical surveillance drones that can destroy these criminals without noticing the killing machines. Go to Israel and see what security equipments look like. A tactical drone can live in the sky unnoticed for days waiting for the culprit. But we are here looking for people to recruit when those recruited can't face the criminals

Just two drones
.? Drones are supposed to the main work, not helmet..

All technical schools in naija should be task with drone production, it's should be available like pure water in this country henceforth

The cameras are also AI-equipped. So, they can do a lot of analysis. With the drones, we now have additional capability to track suspects, vehicles, and human beings anywhere within the state,” he explained.

A Trustee of ESSTF and the Anglican Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Rt. Rev. Onyekachi Onyia, justified the heavy investment in security, highlighting the state’s strategic place in the security and stability of the entire South East and the defunct Eastern Region.

“We know the consequences of leaving Enugu porous. If terrorists are able to get through Enugu, the South East is finished. It will not end well,” he stated.
This is exactly what state governors should be doing with security votes and increased allocation, what is kwara state governor doing? The guy was so lax that he allowed terrorists pemetrate the state.

There is a limit to what a governor can buy else he will need NSA clearance and also Turkey military clearance.

These can be bought off the market in the short term
I know, thats why i said this particular governor is trying in Enugu in terms of security, unlike my own state where they don't even bother.

You are angry that he is making moves to secure the state?

Weird
You don't have to respond to everything.

Meanwhile, this drone seems Beyer than what I have seen with even the army.. Hope it has the ability to remain airborne for at least, 8 hours in chase of flowing criminals

Another issue of concern is who owns the purchases... The state or the National Security Adviser.

Hope they won't call and order that the drone be sent to another state or the helmet and vest be delivered to those in Borno or katsina

These things should be kept on the low. Make e be say we see am dey shocked than the unnecessary exhibit.
Two drones aren't enough though. Normally, police is supposed to patrol streets in their vehicles but they limit it to the highways.
It's commendable, but he can up the ante.
That's what he was elected to do. Make people no see am as favor.
One will be at government house other one at governor house lol

This is a great initiative, welldone

Next is hiring young men and women who know how to utilized those techs because I can 100% assert that all those men and women there have no idea how to operate that tech, analyse the data from it, and utilize its feedback.

If these people are expected to be in charge then all these will return to the store, not used, and gather dust as the use it to siphone money in the name of maintenance and repairs

They are not bought off shelf and is not sold principally for cash.
Relationship and interest.. If I sell to you, what is the gain to mine country national security and how safe would the technology thereof be in your hands.... Won't you hand them over to China for loan trade off

If the drone in this mix bag can stay airborne for 8 hours with wide area coverage, remote controlled from control room rather than be chased about like ordinary kite then it is adequate

Those drones are the key to putting this Fulani scourge in check. Two will certainly not be enough.
Very true, and good for start. They need to have drone pilots now to be running shift and keep the drone on the sky 24/7

How i wish the governor or my state in benue will be bold enough to try something like this, but i am afraid he does not seem to have balls for a priest. just seem not to care

This is what the northern governors should do. But no! They are waiting for FG as usual to spoonfeed them, while they share the federal allocation among themselves and families. The highest they build, few roads, flyovers, etc.

Nice one but what are the nothern states doing? I never hear of Kano state security outfit, Zamfara Borno or Kaduna state security outfit.. no modern security equipment or drones purchased.. only civilian task force under the military and community organised vigilante thats not under the governor. They live their areas to only federal government military. Its a shame. The north is a problem to Nigeria

This is quite apt.

Lagos State has the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) which was FIRST headed incidentally by the current Governor Babatunde Olusola Sanwo-Olu (an investment banker who rose to the senior rank of a treasurer) right from the 2000s. The LSSTF of Lagos State being the first ever of it's kind has served as a good model for other States such as Enugu State to copy and even modify to their own peculiarities.
