Musa is minister of defense and not CDS. He is already retired from service. Musa may not even be taking orders from Tinubu. Musa was appointed under pressure from the US. It can be said that Musa presently is more powerful than Tinubu. Who backs Tinubu? The Nigerian armed forces. Who backs Musa? The military of the United States. Mr Matawalle's position has effectively been terminated. In law it is called constructive dismissal. That happens when your employer, without asking you to resign or sacking you, knowingly takes an action that leaves you with no option but to leave. If you’ve heard matwale speak, you’d know he’s one of those old school, shameless politicians that’ll do anything to remain relevant, like one chap I know in my LG that went from HOR back to being a LG chairman. Some of these folks have no life outside politics. I think eventually the pressure will be too much for matwale, he will either be fired outright or resign but rewarded with another appointment. 12 Likes |
