You can never see anyone accelerating and leaning forward, that is torque, torque is what you use to move when you're climbing hills. Horsepower is your Torque multiplied by engine rpm, corolla Uber could be outputting 105hp at 2000rpm while a V6 highlander could be outputting 200hp at 2000rpm, na why Corolla Uber guy go hear fiam, hp pass hp.

I'd add Hp can't be measured directly like Torque.

All valid points, say our mechanics encourage people on diesels, it'll still never be popular on our roads, most Nigerians are poor, how many Nigerians do fill up at gas stations even as they use petrol cars? People just dey manage, if small hold up catch people for route wey hold up no dey dey na people wey no go reach house go plenty pass.
The resale value our people are obsessed about will never let them get close, I always wonder why the next thing anyone could be about is how to sell a vehicle when at the point of purchase 😂. Let us forget about parts and maintenance, shey Nigerians fit afford diesels? People wey dey run from ordinary V6 petrol cars.

They'll will embrace it when they see how far ¼ tank of diesel can take them.

That resale value is something I don't like talking about,cus its just funny,why would a reason to buy a car, be for resale reasons?

One thing though, I noticed you haven't posted about changing Air and Cabin filter, this is one important maintenance that Nigerians ignore.

You can inspect it yourself, you'll see how dusty they are.


Also do you wash your car yourself or you use local car wash?

Decided to try this cabin air filter from aliexpress. Looks a lot like OEM

Thanks a lot my chief. I don't joke with air filters because we live in a very dusty environment. I changed the intake air filter in my first service in October 2024 and it is meant to last for at least 20k miles, I haven't put up to 5k miles on the car since purchase.
I just changed the cabin air filter with the one I got from aliexpress about two weeks ago(I tagged the post below) and it fits perfectly with a genuine feel. I am not able to post everything I do in the car, sometimes I forget, some I just feel is not relevant.

My gateman wash the car a minimum of three times a week(exterior only and usually with just water) I do wash the car whenever I manage to take it to work (this time, whole body and interior), but I mostly drive the volvo now, it has more soul than the rx

Yes, it made a huge difference. I normally don't use the volvo in the night because of the headlamps but now, even SUVs are afraid of me

I can't seem to find the perfect fit for my own model,I brought 2 wrong types already,only mod I am missing so much.
Also Do led interior lights upgrade na,very easy and helps aesthetics at night,

It seems vandalism of the rx is on the rise. Sadly, parts are very costly. It costs me 50k, logistics inclusive to replace this part.

My wife took it to Dunamis all night vigil and came back with the part missing

The Volvo is very touchy, and I love it . I am always grounded so I don't normally drive at night, I rarely do actually. I will definitely consider the mod. Is your ride Volvo? I must admit that I searched for that mirror cover all over the internet and didn't find it, it just miraculously popped up in my aliexpress and I cupped it immediately.
