It's a two way street!
England made the likes of Harry Kane,Rice and other big players in their national team to become what they are today!
Made the likes of David Beckham,Steven Gerrard and other great players and yet after their playing days were over, their FA through PFA assists them with financial and medical support esp the ones that have advanced in their age!
Italy,Spain,Germany and a host of other European countries do the same!
So why should Nigeria be different?
Ehen this is where you engaged me like a civilised guy I think you are. First of all, I have been hearing of that England former players been paid pension or annual fee. I haven't substantiated it cus if true why is Paul Gascoigne one of their great players is wallowing in sef pity and poverty.
.
Due you also know the current English players are made to donate their match bonuses to charities. That shows the money is nothing to them, cus they earn well at their clubsides.
Have you noticed when England is playing, be it friendly, Qualifiers or competition proper they always make sure every players name is on the back of their shirt. So that when it's eventually one cap you have for England, you will always have pride in seeing your name in an England shirt.
That's why England and the likes are different from players. They played for pride and passion and not for the money cus their clubs pay them well and is enough.
So guy I know what I'm saying when I say, our players are not supposed to allow match bonus to distract them from making Naija proud.

But they won, so what is your point? You guy's couldn't even beat a 10 man Chelsea team and what makes it more embarrasing is the fact you conceded first after the red card and they lost their engine of the team Caicedo. If you like no win Brentford.
Bad belle association. E dey pain you.

Is England the only country in europe?
Secondly, Paul isn't wallowing in poverty but entangled in alcoholism even before he retired from football!
Paul is not poor but spoilt!

Thats for them but it should never be used as a yardstick for other european countries who pay!
besides,the england ladies collect theirs!

They dont just play for just pride and passion!
It comes with huge benefits!
A national player of England both active or retired can access welfare and support which covers health and injury insurance, legal and contractual aid, pension access, financial assistance and career transition!
Patriotism works in both ways!
Now let me ask you...
How many of our retired national players that you know that have access to health or financial assistance from the football association?

So guy I know what I'm saying when I say, our players are not supposed to allow match bonus to distract them from making Naija proud.
Despite regurgitating England as your only yardstick or example, you fail to understand that patriotism comes with well thought out and rewarding packages which the England FA offer their national team players both active and retired!
I ask again....which retired national team player that you know receives health or financial welfare or benefits courtesy of NFF?

Arsenal's problem was that the big six always defeated or drew with them, thereby setting them back, but it's no longer a given.

Which team will defeat Arsenal for Man City to carry the cup? Any team that defeats Arsenal will definitely defeat Man City. Unless Man City defeats Arsenal and takes away the advantage, Arsenal wins and will carry the cup.
Did Liverpool defeat City? angry

So are you implying that the one who keeps working despite being owed or paid less than their valuation is more patriotic than the ones who demands that they be paid whats their entitlement?
Guy thats slavery!
Patriotism is not blind submission to exploitation!
Refusing to be exploited or shortchanged is not disloyalty!
That may be your reality but thats not patriotism!

You are doing more harm than good!
Thats the mentality of those at our football association and yet we want our players to get into tackles or commit themselves!
When an european player plays for his national team he knows that his country will never abandon him when he is medically or physically challenged while playing for the national team!

Lets stop this demeaning mentality!
Thats why we are where we are!
there is nothing demeaning about it, it's the law of nature. And they are not demanding there valuation in anyway. Your valuation can't be more than your environment or where you come from. Even if you have a valuation it's a function of your environment so base on that they are well valued and if they think they are not let them get out. Compare to our reality those guys are living large and not because they are good but because they got the opportunity and they are now misusing it

they are getting paid your claim is they are not getting paid enough. Which I said with Nigerian presents reality they are getting the best amongst of us. Where I am working right now I am getting paid and if I believe I am not getting paid enough to do what I am suppose to do I will quit not start doing shabby job and still expect all my bonus and entitlement

allowance is just some of what they are been paid which means it's part of there payments not all there payments abi what are you saying and it is part of the fact that what they are getting is a lot which is why after all what they are getting they still have allowance that is yet to be paid

Once again that just one country out of many european countries that pay match bonuses to their national team players!
First of all let me tell me you why I am using England as a yardstick. England FA has money more than the four major FAs of Europe in Italy, Germany, France and Spain put together. Not to talk of those smaller countries of Portugal and co. So it’s for you to know England is paying than any of them.
The 2010 World Cup Spain won. I read where some of the players said the agreement with them and their players was if they win the World Cup, there’s certain amount of money they’ll give them, but no match bonuses. They eventually won the World Cup and got the money but no match bonuses. That means if they have fail, they wouldn’t have collected a dime.
Talking about England women and the likes. Do you know what women footballers earn at club sides is peanuts compare to their male counterparts.
The highest sign on fee paid to a woman footballer was the £1.2m paid to one Zambia player in one US based club. Can you compare that to male been signed for £150m. That’s why women are clamoring for equal pay from their countries FA for both male and female national team. Cus that’s where if they succeed they get large money from. That’s why England women reward was higher than our falcons. But have you heard the women clamoring for equal pay rights at club levels.
And talking about Gascoigne, he’s broke jor. But you can still argue about it and it doesn’t matter.
.
And talking about our players wanting our govt to always take care and pamper them when they retired, is it England and other countries govt that are doing that?
Listen to Ifeanyi Udeze a former super eagles player working at Brila fm, he said it clearly that no govt nor FA owe them anything after retirement. He even talked of a case where he was picked by Fanny Amun to go represent Nigeria in Portugal for an Europe/Africa invitational tournament in 1997 for U17 which brought him to limelight and pave way for his senior national team European sojourn. So in other ways, he’s grateful for Amun and the FA for being pick.
.
The question we should ask our players is: what are they using the money they made from football to do after retirement. Bcus people like David Beckham doesn’t give a hoot about their country FA or govt to come help them. This is my full submission. Our players are lazy and can’t give more than what they have which is their average performance. If you like give them £1m each as match bonus. They can’t win the World Cup or even get to the quarters. Sadly, most of the players will never ever play in the World Cup and it’s their loss when they see their club mates playing at the World Cup. So it’s not bcus they’re not being treated well by our FA that’s why they are not playing or giving their all. Their best is not just good enough, they are just bang average.

Guy with all due respect, you are making absolutely no sense with your recent comments!
its like asking someone who is owed salaries for years if its feeding or transport allowance inside his salary that is being owed! grin
That's how unintelligent your flawed comment sounds!
It also proves you have no idea what you are even arguing about or you might possibly be prolonging the discus out of a bruised ego!

However,my argument remains simple and unambiguous...If commitment is demanded from the super eagles players, then the NFF should pay them the match bonuses they were owed since 2019!
Its that simple!

There is no where in my previous comments where i solicited or argued for an increase in the match bonuses of the players!
If there was any,do well to provide the comments where i said so!

yes it warrants been asked if it is transport allowance or feedings allowance that is been owed because the money we are talking about here is big and in actual sense of it you can't get paid in full again if you've been paid half already. So what exactly are you saying. I maintain this guys have been paid half which they don't deserve and if I am in the position I will not pay them that owed half with there performance. We have guys who will play for Nigeria with dedication with half of what they are getting. I will only advocate for them if they are actually performing but with that quality of team in a country with over 230m people. I beg to differ

You are still not making any iota of sense and you are even doing so with confidence!
Lets even assume without conceding that they have been paid half based on your submissions,do you have any link to substantiate your argument?
Secondly, you claimed i demanded that they increased the match bonuses....can you show me where i said so?
Match bonuses are negotiated between the NFF and the players no matter the outcome of the match played, hence NFF are obligated to pay!
Finally,as much as i find this back and forth ridiculously funny, you are making absolutely no sense with all due respect!

you are the one who lack basic comprehension if you can't understand my point. Those allowance are negotiated and agreed upon, yes but do they deserve it with what they are playing. I don't know much about there earnings and all but I know there is allowance there is training allowance, camp allowance and a whole lot more so if they are getting all that but not there negotiated allowance why should they get paid at all with what they are playing. The fact that they travel first class and lodge in an hotel and have a good meal is more than enough with what they are playing.
