How can everyone even support only one candidate?

How does this make sense?

Make the whole Nigeria support only Obi, or only Tinubu? That one na democracy?
That's impossible, People should be allowed to vote their choice. Even if gumi decides to run for president today, some people for south and east go still vote for am.

So it's ad hominem now instead of facing the point? That's quite immature.

But what should I expect from a biased moderator who teamed up with dayo and started deleting and suspending me for highlighting his terrible tribal attacks? You showed the typical characteristics of a corrupt Nigerian politician, the type you support.

Small power you were given, you abused it to help your friend and apply bias in your action. That's why you support the rot in the system. A very big shame
.
Ore, you have no point here. Ask a sensible question and I’ll answer.

The emboldened is false, defamatory, and a clear violation of Rule 20. I hope you’re ready to prove it. For clarity and for the record, let me state the facts.

◾I do not moderate the European Football / EPL section.

◾I am a moderator in the General Sports section only. That is the only place you’ll see my monicker listed at the bottom of the page as a moderator. You can also verify this on my profile where it clearly shows I moderate the Sports section.

◾My moderator privileges in that section do not extend to this EPL board.

◾I am not a s.u.p.e.r m.o.d.e.r.a.t.o.r and I don’t have forum-wide powers.

◾Drawing from the above facts, there:s no possible way I could have deleted your posts or suspended you here.

◾Your ban came from the EPL section mod(s), the s.u p.er m.o.d.s, or the forum admin.

◾Moderators follow a code of conduct and do not suspend people at random. If you got banned, you most likely broke the rules.

I’ll let your false accusation slide because I’ve noticed you struggle with accountability and prefer to blame others for your own missteps.

Enjoy your day.

Easy ooh. Any body campaigning for characters like Gumi Will Walk Alone in the East. However, I understand that in democracy everybody must not belong to a single party.
Na this right & choice dey make am dey competitive & democratic.
But then, people should be able to call out bad governance, a government that have brought nothing but poverty, insecurity to the people.

"For the record, a soldier’s starting salary is ₦104,000 when you first join. After five years, you get a new rank and your salary increases to ₦112,000. At 10 years, you are promoted again (to corporal), and the salary becomes ₦115,000. After 15 years, it rises to ₦125,000, and at 20 years, the salary reaches ₦150,000.

This new structure only started this year. Before now, a soldier’s salary was just ₦50,000.

Aside from salary, there are a few allowances. For example, the “grumbling allowance” is ₦20,000. When added to your salary, that’s what you take home monthly.

But remember: inside this ₦150,000, your mother will call, your wife, children, and friends will need help. You will buy data, transport, food, and still try to save. I’m only telling you so it won’t be said that nobody enlightened you before joining…”

- A young Nigerian soldier breaks down the alleged army salary structure, revealing low pay despite years of service, sparking outrage online.
See wetin person wey dey fight for battlefield dey earn!

Their right to vote and support who they like is not in doubt indeed. But so also is the right for the same ones to absolutely lambast such dangerous support.

You cannot support something very terrible to the society that would affect everyone and then expect to be shielded from vituperation. That's asking to eat your cake and have it.

Again, politics is a powerful bedrock of all our lives. It's not a game, and talks about not bearing grudges against those that purposefully makes bad decisions that harm us only emboldens such bad decisions.

India and China are facing economic sanctions for trading with Russia.
China & Russia just created a free a visa free entry.
EU annual defense budget increased to more than 800b Euros.

During the attack against Iran, you saw most of European NATO member states participating plus Washington. The war in Ukraine led to Russia and North Korea signing a military alliance, DPRK still have a binding, active & legal military alliance pact with Beijing.

Na Turkey wey just dey play both sides, they will lose woefully

Tinubu achieved his aim of winning the election, Obi failed and started crying
Explain the bolded. Why didn't he win Lagos? Why did Lagosians reject him and chose an illiterate like Obi? A whole Jagaban, lion of Bourdilion. An illiterate beat him blue black in the city he built 😂 all the way from Anambra 😂

Let me ask you a simple question.

If your mother supports a candidate that subscribes to a jihadist ideology. One that seeks to impose Islamic religion upon society by violence. How would you relate with your mother?

Of course this already supposes that you've tried everything to changed her mindset. How would you relate to a pro jihadist mother and brother who aligns with a violent movement to impose a theological political system in the entire country?
Nigerians cannot even cut off abusive parents so expecting them to do it because of political views is just wishful thinking.

Listening to Musa's screening by the Senate, and one can see why every sector should be headed by someone who is experienced in it.

I don't know whether Musa will perform, but at least you can see him answer questions because he's a Security guy.

How did an ex Jigawa state governor head the defense ministry of a country battered with terrorists?

May God help Tinubu

When you try making this point they'd say these positions are political positions, hence it doesn't really matter, and the people that would do the work are civil servants.

This is some sanctimonious and morally superior BS that assumes the candidate you support is the right one and everyone who disagrees is wrong. Democracy doesn't work that way. Everyone gets their one vote, and exercises it based on their own priorities, experiences and fears. Reducing people's choices to values you approve or disapprove of is childish. Politics no be religion. Nobody owes you loyalty to your preferred messiah. Know this and know peace.

American family members cutting off each other due to political differences is not a sign of political maturity. Rather it shows the oppposite. It's dumb, emotional immaturity, toxicity, a sign of dysfunctionality, and lack of proper parental upbringing in those homes.

Wetin you dey even yarn sef? You mean I should cut off my paale who laboured all his life & made sacrifices to make me what I am today just because of his choice in the ballot? You mean I should cut off my elder brother who paid me 3/4 of my salary every month for the 7 & 1/2 months Buhari withheld my salary in 2022 because he supported PBAT? You mean I should divorce my wife who risked her life thrice to bear my kids because she supported PBAT? That kind of intolerance and toxicity no dey my DNA and is not something to copy or emulate.

People selling their votes in Nigeria is due to poverty and a defective electoral structure, and not because we do not take elections seriously. Hunger no dey hear sermons, and lectures no fit get weight when survival dey on the line. So abeg, drop the moral superiority. Naija get hin own problems but we no need to add American-style madness on top.
I agree it's extreme but it also shows how they take election seriously and how they see your political choices as an extension of who you are . They are not morally bankrupt and place upholding their values even above families something we should also adopt.

Which survival and hunger will make you sell votes for bread and coke? Is that not foolishness. Most simply don't care about election and how it affects our individual lives. They are individuals already gearing up to dash Tinibu another tenure despite the premium shege we have faced.

I refuse to be morally blackmailed and drawn into your extreme hypothetical mind game. Your overly sanctimonious posturing has made you miss the fact that you're the one trying to cheapen the importance of political choices by reducing it to supporting jihad and violent extremism.

That you'd even go down the manipulative route of "what if your mother supports a candidate who subscribes to a jihadist ideology" in an attempt to use a fringe hypothetical to justify emotional overreaction to ordinary political choices, is shameful and defeats your arguement.

Most political differences in Nigeria by the voters on the candidates they support stem from ethnicity, party affiliation, insecurity, the economy, corruption perception, unemployment & job creation, power supply etc and things that will improve quality of life, not Jihad or extremist ideology.

None of those considerations warrant cutting off people who raised you, fed you and helped you during hard times. If you think otherwise, then it proves my point that politics has become your religion and a do-and-die affair. Na you holy pass. Na only you sabi road and anyone who disagrees with you is morally corrupt. Such intolerance and toxicity shouldn't be encouraged or emulated in our political sphere.

Normal people disagree during elections on a multitude of issues, without being labelled terrorist sympathizers. Mature and sensible adults know how to argue and have political differences without destroying their homes.

I mean...You hear him talk about troops, how the soldiers receive orders, critical decisions that needs to considered before engaging.

He said that General Uba's death needs to be investigated, because Uba should not even be alone without any troop.

It takes someone with experience to know these things. Instead, two ex governors without no portfolio, were made Ministers in the Defense Ministry

Unfortunately, the most important consideration when appointing ministers especially for an incoming president is how to ensure the posts are shared in a way that major contributors and loyalists are not left out.

With the situation we are in now, fighting an undeclared war, only competent and seasoned defence/intelligence vets should have been considered for that role.

Absolutely!

The morale of the military has been seriously battered.

Just watched a video where a soldier said the take home pay is 112,000.

Someone will be fighting bandits for 112k, and then see the bandits share 50 million after one successful operation. Money that he can never make throughout his active year of service.

Make e allow Raumdeuter dey bobo am, it's the same Raumdeuter that's today thanking God for Trump's intervention that only a couple months ago was saying Tinubu has made progress in security, after all they bombed UN building in Jonathan's tenure, and that was when suicide bombing was rife.

When the truth is the terrorists simply changed strategy, and Nigerians are way more terrorized and insecure than they were at the height of insecurity during Jonathan's tenure.
