All this data makes no sense if it doesn't impact the lives of the citizens positively. The growth needs to be consistent and steady and not swinging like a pendulum.

Stop looking for achievements where the is none.

For inflation rates, they were basically just rebased.
You would have been happy if they said everything was up and gloomy? We know your type. Most likely from.......

You believed STATICSENSE few days ago when it says that SE has the highest numbers of adults who could read and write but since this statistics favors the achievement of the Government then bad belle don start.
If the whole world plays opposition the way you do then I'm afraid the ruling party will rule forever. What a stupid opposition always disputing raw fact. Do you think Nigerians are stupid to cross-check this information? Do you think Nigerians don't know that the prices of food today are lower than the cost this time last year? Continue with your stupid opposition and by the next election when you struggle to win 10% of the votes you will be heading to court defending nonsense again.

Tinubu changes the reference point for inflation measurements this is not a hidden fact

I am Not an opposition

Whats my business if my candidate gets 2% ... But I would always vote the best candidate even if he is hell fire... Even if I'm 100% sure he would lose and I would be the only one to vote him

I am. Not like you

In calculating the GDP and inflation rate, there is always a base year that the current year will be rated against. This base year was changed to meet the current situation of things in Nigeria. We cannot be using a base year of about ten years ago.

As an investor in the Nigeria market, I follow some economists on social media and public TVs. I learn from them and also voraciously read around money subjects even though my primary passion is in human medicine.

If we must make "this money", then we must learn what the wealthy know that school refused to teach us.

You are just confusing yourself. It is obvious to the blinds that the Economy is looking Green. The US and major International Communities in Nigeria have noted this in their Economic Outlook Reports. Unlike Nigeria Embassies and High Commission Abroad, these nations send report continually on Political and Economic Situations in Nigeria. A lot is happening. The activities in Lagos ports alone is beyond what the Ports can handle.

Throwing raw statistics at us without characterization only gives a spurious picture of economic improvement.

You have hidden the fact that those good indices are propelled by the REBASEMENT done by the NBS this year.

For real figures, experts like Rewane and Uwaleke have adduced adding 10 to the figures you copiously referenced.

However, the monetary policy team headed by Cardoso is doing a yeoman's job at reining in headline inflation and setting the nation on the path to economic recovery and currency stability.

The fiscal side seems to be the clog in the wheel of progress as the continuous unrestrained borrowing spree of this government tend to erode the gains of the monetary policies.
Why are you always bitter when Statissense reports good news? If it’s something negative, you rush to amplify it, twist it, and celebrate. But the moment the news is positive, you suddenly start searching for faults and excuses.

If you can’t acknowledge the achievements of your rivals, then it only exposes a lack of character and maturity within your opposition.

The way most of you talk this days, I keep wondering if you are the same people who use to talk recklessly during Jonathan time.

You saw on the statistics how they said foreign exchange has improved from 1600 to 1400 and I reacted by saying that he met the exchange rate at leas than 1000k and if he has any atom of human in him ( which I doubt) they would have been so shameful to use that to brag as an achievement.

Please is everybody in your region hypocritical? Is that a birthright?

Without a purchasing power parity on the side of the citizens? You must be joking
Increases revenue to government doesn’t translate to trickle down economics for the people. It just means more to steal for the few

A strong currency was the few ways low salaries could buy more. APC destroyed that. High prices are still higher than even buharis’ time and we all thought he was the worst president ever until Tinubu came

What is inflation? How much was a bag of rice end November 2024 and end November 2025. Calculate the YoY. Check other metrics. In economics and finance we say that figures don't lie. Is in politics that figures lie.

You can't be doing YoY using May 2023. Every economist accepts these facts:

May 2023 the Nigerian economy was in ICU with so many artificial support equipment that made it look like it was alive.

The equipment were becoming extremely weak and about to pack up. If it does the economy will be pronounced dead.

The doctor's decision was difficult. Continue the pattern so that people will hail him as a good doctor or take a difficult decision which will require painful surgery that might make the doctor look wicked but give the patient total recovery and sustained health.

The doctor came from a known track record and was not ready to mortgage it so he chose the later.

He opened up the patient and cut off the troubling cancer. Totally reconstructed the body and the patient began to improve.

Devoid of sentiment when you want to compare the patient's improvement you should be comparing the state of the health of the patient at the start of reconstruction and the years following. Any other is sentiment and not realism.

The Nigerian economy is on a strong part of growth. The oil is now a low portion of the GDP. The exchange rate has stabilized after devaluation. The external reserves are growing. Debt service to GDP rate is lower. Inflation is continually heading south. The mix of external and domestic borrowing is good. The subnationals have more funds.

Take care of security and the world will see an amazing Nigerian economy in two years. Hold me on this.
